Nick Hancart was chosen to be the delegate to Boys State for the one-week conference held at Bowling Green University this summer. Colin Madigan, Thomas Gallaher, and Brandon Popovich were all chosen as alternates, and were also sponsored to attend. Boys State recognizes outstanding young men to attend and participate in a mock government experience where they will learn about the workings of local, county and state government. This prestigious program is sponsored by the American Legion and has such distinguished alumni such as Neil Armstrong.
Junior Cara Shaver was recently notified that she not only was selected as the Soroptimist of Northeast Suburban Franklin County's Violet Richardson Award winner, but has also received the District level award. We wish her luck as her essay moves on to the Regional level.

You learn to speak by speaking, to study by studying, to run by running, to work by working; and just so you learn to love God and man by loving. Begin as a mere apprentice and the very power of love will lead you on to become a master of the art. ~St. Francis de Sales
