| Cluster Reunion and Softball Tourney! | |
Summer is right around the corner, and that means we are one day closer to the annual Alumni Cluster Reunion and Softball Tournament. Save the date for July 6 and 7! The Cluster Reunion will take place Friday night at Gordy's in Westerville beginning at 5pm. The $5 cover charge benefits the St. Francis DeSales Scholarship Fund. The softball tournament kicks off Saturday at 8am at DeSales.

| Students Get VIP Treatment at the Zoo | The Digital Photography and 35mm Photography classes took a trip to the zoo last Tuesday to photograph the amazing wildlife. While on their field trip they were able to speak with alumna Adele Absi Dodge '83, who is the Head Keeper in the Australasia Region at the Columbus Zoo. The students, their teacher Andrea Macioci Bertolo (Adele's classmate!), and Adele pictured below.

| American Red Cross Blood Drive | |
On January 21, 2012, alumna Stefanie Cochran's friend Cody was in a car accident, and received 100 units of blood. He passed away 8 days later, yet without those 100 units, his friends and family would not have had the chance to say goodbye. His family is putting together this blood drive to give back what volunteers gave to him. The goal is to have enough people sign up to donate 100 units of blood. If anyone is able to donate, please contact Stefanie (class of 2010) at stefanc@falcon.bgsu.edu or 614-517-3057. The Blood Drive is on Saturday, June 2 from 11-4 at 1066 N. High St. in Columbus.

Class of 1967

Class of 1972
Plans are underway for your 40th reunion celebration! The event will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Little Bear County Club in Lewis Center, Ohio.

Linda Vollmer '69
Owner
"Love to Teach"
Linda is an entrepreneur with three distinct web based businesses that specialize in giftware for teachers, school nurses and cancer survivors. She is also a retired teacher who spent 30 years teaching in Columbus Public Schools, a career she loved and which also inspired her business, which she named "Love to Teach".
Linda earned her B.S. in Education at Ohio University in 1972 and her Masters in Education at The Ohio State University in 1978. During her teaching career Linda was recognized on several occasions, including the award of an Ingram Grant from the Columbus School District. This special funding through the Columbus Foundation allowed her to combine her experience with kindergartners with her creative abilities to develop special science books and other key resources for the kindergarten teachers of the Columbus district.
Linda has wonderful memories of her time at DeSales and was active with the drama club as well as the girls basketball and track teams. Linda recalls that her parents were always involved in DeSales activities and she has certainly followed their example. She has held several leadership positions with the St. Francis DeSales Alumni Association and presently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer. She remains in close touch with many high school class classmates from DeSales.
