The Most Reverend Bishop Frederick Campbell and St. Gabriel Catholic Radio invited student representatives and staff members from the Central Ohio Catholic high schools to participate in the 3rd annual Student Forum with Bishop Campbell last Friday at Bishop Hartley High School. Student representatives included seniors Jordan Barnett and Zach Lambert, sophomore Savannah Perkins and freshman Gabrielle Zaremba (pictured above right with Bishop Campbell). The recorded session will be aired on AM 820 on Tuesday, February 7 from 5-6 p.m.

On Monday, students attended the Respect Life Mass and Right to Life Rally in Downtown Columbus. The mass at St. Joseph Cathedral was celebrated by the Most Revered Bishop Fredrick Campbell. The students joined other schools in supporting and praying for the dignity of all life that God has created.  Following the mass students marched with pride to the State House to participate in the Columbus Right to Life Rally. Our group of 64 students, 2 faculty members and multiple DeSales families stood under blues skies to listen to many powerful speakers (pictured below). They included Cheryl Grossman (R-H23) as keynote speaker for the 39th annual Rally for Life, Mike Keebaugh President of the GCRTL Board of Trustees and Ruth Yorston GCRTL Executive Director. Students came back moved by the stories and passionate for the cause.

We need YOUR input!
As a Catholic high school, St. Francis DeSales High School operates with limited financial support from local or federal taxes. Therefore, we rely on tuition income, Annual Fund contributions, and other fund raising activities to support our school.

The Institutional Advancement Committee is in the process of planning our fund raising calendar for the next school year. The IA Committee would appreciate your input on the fund raising survey below.  It will take just a few minutes of your time. Your feedback is very important as it will assist us to determine our 2012-13 fund raising plans.  We will share the results of this survey in a March issue of DeTales.
