The Italian IV students visited St. Matthias to teach various grade levels about Christmas in Italy. They taught them vocabulary, greetings, and the Italian version of "Frosty the Snowman" (Pupazzo di Neve). It was a great experience, as the students at St. Matthias were excited to learn about something new, and the Italian IV students had the opportunity to share a little bit of the knowledge they have acquired after studying the language for almost 4 years. The Model UN Team represented Mexico, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia at the largest Senior Ohio Model United Nations Competition to date this past Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Over the three days, the students debated a variety of global issues and made speeches in front of over 1,000 students from around the state. Reflecting a semester of preparation and research, Nigeria's resolution on improving teacher training programs throughout Africa was one of two presentations to receive a favorable vote in its council session - International Court A. Over 20 Business Club students listened to alum Michael Coury '03 talk about entrepreneurship at their monthly meeting. Michael, a financial advsior, operates his own investment company, First Hedge, LLC.

The annual canned food drive had a unique theme this year, "Fill That Bus," and students did just that! 25,000 food items were delivered to St. Stephen's Community House for their Christmas Care program. Pictured below left: Students help load the bus on one of the delivery days.
Through Buckeye sales, bake sales, and Elf movie night Stallion TACK raised $500 for a family in need for the Christmas season. Student Council also adopted two families this season through the MOMM Foundation, and Nellie's Club members brought in toys for children that may have gone without this Christmas as well. Pictured below right: Students stayed after school on Wednesday to wrap 'adopt-a-family' gifts.
