|  | Senior Warren Ball is a finalist for the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Year. The campaign honors the best high school football players in the state. Fans can vote online for the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Year, starting at midnight on Monday, November 14 and ending on Sunday, November 27. Fishing Club member Austin Yochus has won an unprecedented 3 consecutive fishing tournaments this year. Austin pictured right with a winning fish. 
The Environmental Club had an excellent turnout for the new volunteer orientation at the Franklin County Dog Shelter on Tuesday. 23 students, faculty and staff showed up to participate in the training, toured the facility and walked the energetic dogs.
The English AP Track sophomores, accompanied by Mrs. Polemeni and Mrs. Van Arsdale, attended the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation's 2011 "Celebration of Learning" last Friday. These students were able to hear a presentation by Author and Pulitzer Prize Winner Isabel Wilkerson. The students were able to meet Ms. Wilkerson, discuss her new book The Warmth of Other Suns, and tour the main branch of the Columbus Public Library.

The action takes place at the Peaceful Pines Sanitarium, where 3 murders have just taken place for the audience to witness. Detective Harry Monday is called to the scene in this "Dragnet" type spoof. The audience is introduced to a variety of character suspects, and is even shown a crime scene at intermission so they can come to their own conclusion as to the actual killer. Senior Kevin Walsh plays the lead role as Harry Monday, with his twin brother, James Walsh as Dr. Morrisey, the director of the sanitarium, junior Katie Myers as Tara Dillaise, senior Kerri Moore as Mary Tobias, senior Ashley Putnam as Lilly Mandrake and senior Hershey Millner as the wise-cracking nurse aide, Beatrice Smith. Rounding out the cast are 3 freshmen boys, Matt Yarger, Coleman McKinney and Daniel Kelly, who play a variety of characters.
