Housing has always responded to the market. After WW II the country needed affordable shelter for returning GI's ready to start families. New lifestyles and affluence have resulted in homes that have grown in the years since. The new generation Baby Boomers are finding themselves in homes designed to raise 2.5 children. Now these children are leaving the nest and Mom and Pop are looking at what they can do for themselves. Modern kitchens, open floor plans and luxurious master suites are among the popular amenities. A first floor master bedroom and laundry room are extremely appealing.
