Free Money for St. Luke's
Compliments of the citizenry of Scituate !!!
St. Luke's will be collecting the recyclable bottles and cans (soda, etc.) at the Scituate Transfer Station starting next Monday (July 16th) thru the end of the month (Tuesday July 31st).
With the hot weather we are expecting to really "clean up" :-) Of course the money is not completely free, we do need to get the bottles and cans to the Cohasset Redemption Center where they will be turned into money :-) If you don't live in Scituate or maybe you don't know where the Scituate Transfer Station is don't let that stop you from getting involved, we can make sure you get in.
So if you would like to help just send an email to lmcd28@aol.com or call (781) 545-0273 and be sure to say hello to your fellow St Luke'rs on your trip to the Transfer Station over the next couple of weeks :-)

Diocesan Youth Council
Accepting applications from entering 10th - 12th graders for the 2012-13 Academic Year. The members of the DYC come from all across eastern Massachusetts and represent the voice of youth in the diocese. The DYC is a supportive community of faith, where everyone has a lot of fun living out their ministry in the church. The DYC generally has an event and/or meeting once a month. During that time they plan and run four specific diocesan youth events, discuss relevant topics that concern the youth of the diocese and explore their own journeys of faith. The FINAL application deadline is September 5th. Contact Rev Joyce at momscheyer@gmail.com or (402) 570-9364 for more information and for help with the application forms. Thanks to our recent grants there will be no cost for programs or travel for any St Luke's youth reps.

- 2 Baby Swings for the Nursery

The tent is much needed for future fundraisers and will help to generate revenue and finally the swings would alleviate a growing need in the Nursery.
