Save the Date Ladies!- Weds., May 23rd

Our 6th Annual Ladies Night will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd at Bancroft Hall in Cohasset. We are thrilled that Anne LeClaire will be our guest speaker this year. She came highly recommended by author, Ann Hood, our 2011 speaker. Anne LeClaire is the author of Listening Below the Noise, a meditation on the practice of silence. In addition to novels and the memoir, she has written short stories and essays. She is a teacher and lecturer here and abroad on the creative process, as well as on the practice of silence. She has taught creative writing on Cape Cod, in France, Ireland and Jamaica, at the Maui Writers Conference, and to women in prison. Her essays have been included in a number of anthologies, among them I've Always Meant to Tell You, Letters to Our Mothers: An Anthology of Contemporary Women Writers; From Daughters and Sons to Fathers: What I've Never Said; and A Sense of Place: An Anthology of Cape Women Writers. We are pleased that Silent Chef will be catering our meal once again. Beverages (including wine!) will be provided. Tickets and books will be on sale beginning April 22nd after the 10:00 service. Front Street Book Shop will have copies available and please support this local business. Front Street Book Shop is in the process of moving to a new location, 122 Front Street (former location of Duval Dance Studio next to Riva Restaurant). Owner, Peg Pattern, is still operating out of the existing store and she hopes to be completely moved by mid-April. Please visit http://www.anneleclaire.com/index.htm to learn more about Anne LeClaire. You may email me at jdmmfoley@msn.com with any questions. I hope to see you there!
Peace~ Darlene

Mission: Malawi
Joshua and I want to thank everyone who has sponsored us for our Malawi Mission trip so far. It is an amazing feeling to be so loved by our community. We enjoyed sharing our plans and the Malawian cuisine with the folks who made Coffee Hour last Sunday. Most everyone, kids and adults alike, were "brave" to try some new foods. If you haven't heard about our endeavor please click here to learn more. We are still seeking support in the form of prayers, books and financial contributions.
In peace,
Karen Hirsh

Wish List
We are in need of three items. If any parishioners would like to donate said item or make a contribution toward the purchase of same, the church would be extremely grateful.
- Automatic Coffee Maker (commercial type- similar to the Curtis Alfa model in the kitchen)
- 2 Baby Swings for the Nursery
- A tent with side flaps (10' x 20' or larger)
Our present coffee machine is on its last legs and when it fails we will all be in deep trouble. The tent is much needed for future fundraisers and will help to generate revenue and finally the swings would alleviate a growing need in the Nursery.
