Christmas Pageant Rehearsals

St. Luke's Annual Christmas Pageant will be held on Dec. 18th at 4 p.m., followed by the Barber's Soup Dinner, Cookie Exchange and Caroling. The first pageant rehearsal is Dec. 3rd from 9 AM - 11 AM. By now you should have received a hard copy of December's Special Edition Mission Tidings via the U.S.P.S.   It is also available to read on St. Luke's website, just click on the link in the left margin or go to www.saintlukesscituate.com  If for some reason you did not receive a copy in the mail, please contact the office at 781-545-9482 or email  stlukes.scituate@verizon.net so we can update your address. 

Consider confirmation. Anyone interested in reaffirming their baptismal vows and making a mature commitment to the Episcopal Church can send their name to me at momscheyer@gmail.com.  Preliminary mailings about confirmation will go out this month and our first meeting will be on Sunday, January 8th.

Outstanding St. Luke's!!!  All of the tags are gone from our Giving Tree and it shows the wonderful heart of our church - you the parishioners! Please remember to bring your items back to the church anytime between now and noon on Saturday, December 10th along with the ornament tags you chose. You may leave your items under the tree in the Narthex. Thank you from all of us at the Outreach Committee. We look forward to seeing you at the Wrap Party.

We will be featuring NEW holiday items and items from the Harvest Fair. If you are looking for that special homemade touch for your gifts this year, don't miss this wonderful opportunity.

You never know who may show up.

Come and create a festive centerpiece for your holiday table. All supplies and instruction will be provided to create a fragrant table decoration. The class is free but only two spots remain on the sign up sheets in the Narthex. Workshop will begin at 9 AM.

Come join the Festival of Tape as we wrap the Giving Tree items for the shelter. Our recipients include 18 children and 12 adults. In exchange for your help, treats will be provided. We will supply paper and tape, but please bring your own scissors. Kids from 1 to 92 (or more!) are welcome. The kids will have a chance to make Swedish gingerbread cookies and we will be showing holiday classics, like "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". There will be a sign up sheet in the Narthex.

Coming Soon! "Peace and Joy"- A concert of the Holiday Season by the Choral Art Society of the South Shore. 4 PM Sunday, December 11, 2011 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Tickets are $20 ($15 for Seniors and Students).

The lease for Dutton Hall has expired and we are seeking a new tenant, Monday through Friday. Available January 1, 2012.
