Dear Saint Luke's Parishioners,
First and foremost, I want to say "Thanks" to all of you for your support, especially those who took packets of 31-Day Giveaway tickets to sell. Overall, we had 49 parishioners step up and take 97 of 100 packets of tickets and sell over 750 tickets!!! Thanks for making us all winners.
I would like to congratulate some of our Sellers who were able to sell a significant number of tickets. Awards to the following Top Sellers:
- 20+ (2 tickets each): Barry Bartlett, George Boerger, Alissa Delpico, Janine Beal, Pat Jones, Carsten Otte, Erica Pollard, Rooney-Meehan;
- 30+ (3 tickets each): Alice Dana
- 40+ (4 tickets each): Karen McElwey
- 50+ (5 tickets each): Tracy Dieselman
- 70+ (7 tickets each): Joan Powers
Special thanks to my family (Christine, Nicholas, Christian, Lilly) for their help, support and sales of many tickets. Lastly, but not least, I want to thank Tracy Dieselman and Erica Pollard for stepping up and taking charge of the Ticket Sales...and getting more tickets sold this year than last year...well done!!!
As you know, we are hosting the Taste of Scituate not just as a fundraiser, but also as a way to reach out into the community, invite them in and let them know about all our wonderful Community Service Outreach programs. We would like to invite you to attend the Finale Gala (Nov 13th), along with your friends from the community and have a great time with our Sponsor tastings, grand prizes raffle, and mingling with all the other guests. Make sure you check out the Scavenger Hunt for your chances at winning a stay at the Ocean's Edge Resort in Brewster including a round of golf for two and $100 meal voucher...a $600 value!
THE TIME HAS COME TO START WINNING...now sit back and watch the winning numbers each day for your part of the fantastic prizes!!!
THANKS & GOOD LUCK! www.TasteOfScituate.com

Harvest Fair News
The Fair is approaching fast.
It is on the 5th of November from 10am to 3pm.
We will be able to take items for the Book Table and the White Elephant Table beginning the week of October 16th. The Book Table loves hard and soft cover books and DVD's. The White Elephant area is looking for all of your treasures - glasses, bowls plates and platters, picture frames and paintings. All sorts of things that are in good shape and of value to someone.
Items for the Children's area can be dropped off beginning the week of the 23rd of October. They need any type of items for children - from toys and books to highchairs and strollers. All items, again need to be in good working order and clean.
Our knitters and sewers could use your donations of yarn and fabric NOW. We need yarn to make mittens and hats. Fabrics will be used in all sorts of things. Donations can either be dropped off in the Narthex - clearly marked - or you can call Susanna Dietz at 781-545-6109.
The Silent Auction Table would like any and all donations as soon as possible. It really is important to have items or gift certificates or services early on so that the right type of advertising and write-ups can be done. The more information that we can gather on items the better they do in the auction.
If anyone has any questions or suggestions regarding the fair please call Susanna Dietz at 781-545-6109 or Maureen Keys at 781-545-1348.
BASKET TABLE: The Basket tree is set up in the narthex, please take one and fill it up or bring in your own! A list of filler ideas is provided.
Be sure to check out the notice on the table in the narthex for a list of all the ways you can help along with the assembly schedule.
Any ??? contact Cheryl O'Grady at 508-209-3308 or 508-989-3739 or email jogrady191@aol.com.
