Taste of Scituate Ticket Sales- Last Week!

Dear Saint Luke's Parishioners,

Many of you asked if you could continue to sell your remaining tickets to help us reach our goal of selling at least 750 tickets. Make sure you return the ticket stubs and money before the 31-Day Giveaway begins on Saturday, 1 October.  Any tickets sold thereafter will not be valid to win until the ticket stub and money are returned and recorded.

Remember, you don't need to "SELL" them, just ask your friends, family and co-workers "Would you be interested in a raffle where you could win dinner out each night for 31 days?" Not everyone will be interested, but we know there are enough people out there who want to participate...we just have to find them.

IT ALL BEGINS SOON...we are in the FINAL week and must finish all sales by Saturday, October 1st (8pm).  Please finish selling your tickets and return the ticket stubs and money.

Return your items directly with Tracy Dieselman, Erica Pollard or John Hudanich.  Any question, please contact me: john@hudanich.net; 781.234.8631.

THANKS & GOOD LUCK!

Harvest Fair News

The Fair is approaching fast.

It is on the 5th of November from 10am to 3pm.

We will be able to take items for the Book Table and the White Elephant Table beginning the week of October 16th.  The Book Table loves hard and soft cover books and DVD's.  The White Elephant area is looking for all of your treasures - glasses, bowls plates and platters, picture frames and paintings.  All sorts of things that are in good shape and of value to someone.

Items for the Children's area can be dropped off beginning the week of the 23rd of October.  They need any type of items for children - from toys and books to highchairs and strollers.  All items, again need to be in good working order and clean.

Our knitters and sewers could use your donations of yarn and fabric NOW.  We need yarn to make mittens and hats.  Fabrics will be used in all sorts of things.  Donations can either be dropped off in the Narthex - clearly marked - or you can call Susanna Dietz at 781-545-6109.

The Silent Auction Table would like any and all donations as soon as possible.  It really is important to have items or gift certificates or services early on so that the right type of advertising and write-ups can be done.  The more information that we can gather on items the better they do in the auction.

If anyone has any questions or suggestions regarding the fair please call Susanna Dietz at 781-545-6109 or Maureen Keys at 781-545-1348.

BASKET TABLE: The Basket tree is set up in the narthex, please take one and fill it up or bring in your own!  A list of filler ideas is provided.

Be sure to check out the insert in Sunday's bulletin, (also in October's Mission Tidings and on the table in the narthex) for a list of all the ways you can help along with the assembly schedule.

Any ??? contact Cheryl O'Grady at 508-209-3308 or 508-989-3739 or email jogrady191@aol.com.

St. Luke's Breast Cancer Group
Beginning October 2nd following the 10 AM service, we will resume a monthly meeting for those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Through the sharing of stories, struggles and triumphs, this monthly group honors each woman's journey. Our group will meet the first Sunday of every month from 11:30 - 12:30 . For any comments or questions, please contact Rev. Colette Wood at 617-922-9664.
Playground Supervision
Parents are reminded that children must be supervised by a designated adult at all times while on the church playground.
