A note from Bishop Shaw.... 

I am saddened to inform you of the death of

David E. Smith

on May 4, 2011 in Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts. He served at Grace Church,
Vineyard Haven (1957-1959), and Vicar/Rector of St. Luke's, Scituate (1959-1963).

In addition to parish ministry David was a psychologist and the founder of Martha's
Vineyard Community Services and served as the Director of the Island Youth Center.
A memorial service was held at Grace Church Vineyard Haven.

May the soul of God's faithful servant departed rest in peace and may light perpetual
shine upon him.
