We would like to thank all of the people who took the time to respond to our post-event survey during the past two weeks. The responses and comments that were shared will help us plan for next year's program and beyond. Here are some key findings:
- 98% will recommend the Edison Awards to their colleagues or business partners
- 86% realized the benefits they hoped to achieve through their participation
- 90% were "Satisfied" or "Very Satisfied" with the service they received throughout the nomination period and events
- 93% were "Satisfied" or "Very Satisfied" with the Edison Awards Gala
- 79% rated the value of the entire Edison Awards program as "Good" or "Exceptional"
About our Attendees
More than 600 people attended our Opening Reception, Meet the Innovators Forum and black-tie Awards Gala. Among them,
- 45% were Chairman, Founder, CEO, President, Executive Director, CMO and CIO
- 32% held titles of SVP, VP of Marketing, Brand Manager, Business Development and Public Relations
- 22% held titles of Designers, Engineers, Scientists

Interviews with Our Winners
For the first time in our 25 year history, the Edison Awards conducted video interviews with a select group of 2012 winners who participated in this year's program. We wanted to document and share their enthusiasm and stories about how their innovations came to be.
 We were fortunate to capture a few minutes in a video interview with Mauro Porcini (left), Head of Global Design for 3M, whose presentation during the Meet the Innovators Forum, titled "Love, Design and Innovation," offered insight into how the charismatic executive approaches innovation within his own firm.
3M Health Care was among the 2012 Award Finalists in the "Lifestyle & Social Impact" category, ultimately winning a Silver Edison Award for their 3M Kind Removal Silicone Tape,which removes easily and cleanly from the skin, without disrupting fragile skin layers or causing patients any undue pain. In the "Science & Medical" category, 3M also took home Silver for its aerobic testing procedure for lactic acid bacteria using 3M Petrifilm.
 Another featured interview we want you to view is with Hari Nair and G. Sunderraman of the Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company (pictured at right), whose innovative ""chotuKool" won the Gold Award in the "Lifestyle & Social Impact" category.

Get Involved!
We're expanding our outreach to recruit even more volunteers from the engineering and science/medical communities, and we invite you to join us.
 Consider joining our Panel of Judges for the 2013 Awards. Judges are asked to review nominations in categories that most closely align with their areas of expertise/interest. Judging takes place over a two-month period (December - January), and involves online review of nominations and participation in one or more conference calls.
