Program Update
Teen musicians will be celebrating Les Paul's birthday like he would - performing. A June 9th reception at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education in Madison will celebrate Wisconsin's 2011 Launchpad Program. The "gold ring" of the competition is the Les Paul Launchpad Award.
The statewide competition is for high school students in bands formed outside of school. Seventy-five garage bands from across the state competed. Thirteen finalist bands will compete in a concert extravaganza in Madison on June 11th.
