Publications

-Book: Revolution in the Classroom.
Stories of the first generation of young people from Enseña Chile, a program modeled after the highly successful Teach for America, which aims to transform exceptional graduates into effective inspirational teachers. Programs like Enseña Chile and Enseña Perú are being started around Latin America with the support of IDB-hoping to make a difference.

Haiti's Schools
A plan to build a new education system in Haiti is one of the most encouraging things to emerge from the rubble of the Jan. 12 earthquake. The first, five-year phase is expected to cost $500 million. Half of that would come from the Inter-American Development Bank, which has helped design the program.
