New Studios at 939 8th avenue | |
We opened the 939 location back in 1990, and it has always been a favorite spot for folks who like to stay close to the Theatre District. Our new Second Floor Suite includes two big, bright, airy spaces with 12-foot ceilings, and gorgeous wood floors. One of the studios, 2A, was the original studio of Joseph Pilates, where he taught his famous breathing and excercise techniques to folks like Martha Graham and George Balanchine. Our own little slice of New York dance history! Come check it out! |

Ripley-Grier Newsletter
January 2012 |
Greetings!
Happy New Year! This is our 25th year of serving the entertainment community, and we couldn't be more proud, or more grateful. I have been with the company for nearly half that time, and have seen a lot of shows born, careers made, and artists blossom. We here at RG like to think that by providing creative people with a comfortable home, we have contributed in some small way to the fruits of their labor, and to the vibrance and vitality of this great city. Thanks to all of you for supporting us through the years!
-John Norman Director of Operations Ripley-Grier Studios |

Swan Music School was hatched by Laura and Shaheed Shabazz after 25 years of combined guitar teaching experience. They teach kids, retirees and everyone in between. Students say they are "worth every penny" and "completely focused on teaching me". As for calling Ripley-Grier their home, Laura says "We love RG for the convenience, the upbeat and creative energy, the cafe and wifi, the location, the reasonable prices, the great staff... in fact, there's nothing we DON'T love!". Our business here at RG is based on the idea that people like Laura and Shaheed deserve a professional and personal environment at a price that keeps their business growing! If you want to know more about Swan Music School, you can visit them at SwanMusicSchool.com, email Laura or Shaheed or call 914-297-9267.
