Apply Now to Host the 2011 Photographing Your Urban Forest Workshop & Photo Show in Your Neighborhood
Last year PP&R City Nature held its first photography workshop and photo show in the Concordia neighborhood. Participants learned about photography techniques before trying their hand at photographing the urban forest. Participants were encouraged to submit one to three photos for an urban forest photography show. The photo show, I Love Trees Because... was held at McMenamin's Kennedy School in Concordia. This was a great opportunity for neighbors and tree enthusiasts alike to get together and celebrate the benefits and beauty of trees. Photographs were sold and the $400 raised went to the Concordia Neighborhood's Tree Equity Fund.
Apply for this great opportunity to host the 2011 Photographing Your Urban Forest Workshop & Photo Show in your neighborhood. This will allow you a unique opportunity to raise money, through the photo show, to help benefit your neighborhood's urban forest. To apply, complete and submit this application to Autumn Montegna, autumn.montegna@portlandoregon.gov, by
Wednesday, February 9.
This year the photography workshop includes three parts:

Framing workshop. Learn how to frame your photographs in preparation for the upcoming photo show. Tuesday, June 21
Photo Show. July 2011 (exact date, time, and location to be determined with the selected neighborhood)
Instructor
Bob Langan: a Neighborhood Tree Steward, writer, photographer, and instructor
