    Greetings!

     QUIZ

Here we are again in September I'm not sure where the summer went but last evening it sure felt like early fall!

However it does not mean that I stop studying and working through homework and other activities and assignments that are just as difficult but the answers are not always readily available.  Life, sometimes, is like having a teach announce a pop quiz - ready or not you need to deal with it.

My new E-booklet is almost ready, I am waiting for the final proofing and edits, so I anticipate it will be ready for later this month.  This is the first of a series and this one is for people and families who might be starting to think about downsizing.  It start with a quiz whether or not they are ready and some tips to help them to begin the process when they are ready.  I feel it will a great tool and resource for any sales and marketing people in Assisted Living or Home Health Care.

Enjoy the newsletter.  Please let me know if you have any specific topics that you would like me to address in future newsletters.

Moving you from FRAZZLED TO DAZZLED.

What Value Do I Bring My Clients?

I ask myself this question every day.

I love what I do!  I work with people when they might be dealing with incredible trouble and grief in their families. I help them and their families when they are most vulnerable and fragile. They are usually in crisis mode and are upset, frustrated, and overwhelmed. The actual scenarios vary from a life threatening illness through and including death. The emotions and feelings do not change, some have more others have less, but the need is still there.

When a crisis strikes a family, often it is unexpected and catches people off guard and life becomes chaotic and disrupted. Even more  for family members, particularly the decision makers, who live out of state. Their normal and routine lives, as they know it, will be disrupted by:

    • Time away from work and family
    • Additional expenses
    • Stress dealing with medical, rehabilitation, or estate closure issues

No one knows for how long, it could be several days, weeks, or months and result in several trips away from family and work obligations.

So the answer to: What value does WITTZ END bring my clients? is--WITTZ END works with families to gently and respectfully bring closure to what seems to be insurmountable and valueoverwhelming work. Present practical, reasonable solutions concerning the disposition of personal belongings of a loved one. During these stress filled times families have many concerns and obligations and they may not be able to physically or emotionally handle the actual hands on work that is required to:

    1. De-clutter and organize the home in order for loved one to return home after rehabilitation. Family members are usually busy with medical and rehabilitation concerns, while working and caring for their own families.
    2. A parent is going to an assisted living facility, items need to be moved there, the home needs to be sold and to do that it needs to be organized, de-cluttered and eventually all contents need to be removed.
    3. The deceased relatives personal effects need to be organized, inventoried, and ultimately moved from the house in order to put closure to their estate.

In every situation (and there are plenty more examples) families are often: Too upset; Too busy; Have no time; Or they just cannot bring themselves to physically sort through the belongings and life of their loved ones.

WITTZ END's value is providing the expertise, time, materials, resources, and empathy to do what the families cannot do, for whatever reason. WITTZ END provides them the time and space to deal with other issues and concerns. With no emotional connections to the items involved we provide advice and options impartially while honoring and respecting the items and the family.

    LOST AND FOUND!

Just a short update on re-connecting via social networking with my long lost first cousin.
Cousins - Spencer side of family

My cousin is living in Florida with her family, but came North to Cape Cod for a family vacation.  So while she was on the Cape, my sister and I, had the opportunity to have a lovely family reunion!

Since sharing a meal is important in our family our reunion took place over a wonderful lunch overlooking the Bass River.  We talked and talked, which upset the waiter, but we did not worry about that.  Two and a half hours later we slowly walked to our cars and promised to keep in touch.  This is a promise I vow to keep!
