Jupiter 26 Forward Seating
The 26' Jupiter is a spacious mid sized center console, with its 26'5" overall length, and generous 8'8" beam. The boat has been designed to provide plenty of room for fishing, as well as comfortable seating and convenience features for cruising around and diving. The three piece hull construction has allowed for maximum deck space, two sets of under gunnel rod holders on each side of the boat, and convenient hand rails at the forward seating for use underway.
The transom houses a standard 35 gallon blue livewell, and rigging sink, as well as a walk through transom door. It also has a flip down and removable rear bench seat. Moving forward in the floor is a massive 102 gallon macerated fishbox, which will fit the days catch and then some. The rigging station leaning post with tackle storage has been upgraded with a wrap around backrest and fold down footrest to keep your helm occupants comfortable and safe. The spacious walk in head has a large full height side entry fiberglass door, full marine electric head, and bomar hatch for ventilation.

Forward is the built in seating in front of the console and wrap around bow seating, with insulated dry storage, floor storage, and built in cupholders. The thru stem windlass will allow for easy use of the anchor no matter what you are going to use the boat for. Topping the boat off is the sturdy fiberglass hard top and telescoping outriggers. This boat powers very efficiently with a pair of reliable twin Yamaha 150 Four Stroke outboards; getting over 2MPG at cruise.

The yacht quality fit and finish, from the hardware to the diamond nonskid, custom touches, lengthy standard feature list, pad hull design, dry offshore ride, and beautiful lines are all inherited from Jupiter's larger center console offerings. This great model is in stock now at Caribee, so stop by and have a look today!

LED Under Water and Under Gunnel Lighting at our Ship's Store
|
LED lights are a perfect, low energy consuming, compact, easy way to improve any vessel. Add under gunnel and compartment lighting to set your boat apart once the light falls, and aid with night fishing without bright direct lights that interfere with your natural night vision. Our Ship's Store carries many sizes and colors of convenient LED strip lighting that can be installed all around the boat, whether you have a skiff or offshore fishing machine.
Don't forget to finish off your boat's new LED upgrade with a pair of underwater transom lights. We carry OceanLED Amphibian surface mount LED lights as well. Surface mount LED's give the same great performance of older thru hull systems without the need to change bulbs, and a smaller installation intrusion in the hull to accomodate the power cord.
Call 305-664-3431 and ask to speak to Dianne or Craig in parts for more information. |

Lionfish Populations on the Rise
|
"In the latest Bulletin of Marine Science released Friday, scientists say that in 2010, researchers estimated there were 89,000 lionfish in the Keys.
In 2011, those estimates increased to 335,000 fish -- likely a conservative estimate since lionfish hide in the reef, according to Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary staff....
'Lionfish are voracious predators and are most likely having impacts on native fish species, disrupting the ecology of the area they invade,' said Ben Ruttenberg, fishery biologist with NOAA Fisheries. 'Lionfish have no natural predators in their invaded range in the Caribbean and Atlantic. With long-term monitoring, we will be able to document and understand the ecosystem impacts of this invasive predator.'...
The U.S. Geological Survey, working with Reef Environmental Education Foundation and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, maintains the database for lionfish sightings. Scientists continue to ask the public to help." |
