Let's tell our story and the story of the St. David's community.  At the retreat, people will make storyboxes that contain pictures, momentos and meaningful objects.

  • Bring shoeboxes and supplies to make your storybox.
This storybox was made by Sarah Kates.

storybox
Here at St. David's, we will display pictures of momentos and meaningful objects on the bulletin board across from the kitchen.  We will make one big collage of all the pictures including the soryboxes from the retreat.

  • Bring your photographs to the church office to share on the bulletin board.

Greenery Orders
It is already time to order your Christmas greenery and poinsettias.  Get descriptions and prices of items available on the St. David's website.  Youth Page.

Free Hospital Bed

Nena King has a very nice, heavy mechanical twin sized bed.  It is the type that has a button that you push that raises the back, or the knees, or the entire bed. It has a box frame and a tempur-pedic mattress.

The bed is free to someone who can get it moved by Friday. You need to have a mover do this - it is too heavy for someone to try to move by themselves.

If you are interested, please call the church office at 824-2481.

Men's Burn Your Own Steak

Tuesday, October 12 at Don Mill's home at 6:30 pm.  Bring your own meat, a side and a friend to share it.
Dedication of Prayer Garden in Memory of Sue Jockusch

Sunday, October 17 at the end of the 8:00 am service.
Stewardship Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, you bless each of us daily. Grant us the knowledge and awareness to accept this Truth. You provide us all good things. Help us grow in gratitude for these gifts and live by your words. It is more blessed to give than to receive. Amen. Acts 20:35
Screening for Osteoporosis

lifeline screening
  • Have you suffred a broken bone in your hip or spine?
  • Do you feel as if you are getting shorter?

If you answer "yes" to either, you may want to consider being screened for the risk of osteoporosis.  Life Line uses a quantitative ultrasound bone densitometer, using the heel as a meanurement site, to assess your risk of osteoporosis.  This screening compares your bone density to that of the average 20 year old adult female, accoring to World Health Organization guidelines.

However, the osteoporosis screening is not only for women.  Of the 10 million Americans diagnosed with osteoporosis, 2 million are men.

Life Line will be at St. David's Episcopal Church on November 11, 2010.

To register for the Stroke, Vascular Disease and Heart Rhythm Pack for $139.00, call 1-800-324-1851.  All four ultrasound screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete.
