Music in the Park presents... August 17 @ 6PM - The Dalles City Park Todd Haaby & Sola Via performs LIVE!

Music in the Park continues August 17th with one of the most sought after new talents on the West Coast - Todd Haaby & Sola Via.
Nuevo Flamenco guitarist Todd Haaby and his Latin group Sola Via have headlined summer festivals as well as some of the most prestigious resorts and wineries around the West Coast.
They frequently sell out theatres, opera houses, and like venues with their fiery Latin music.

Noticed the new WiFi choice showing up? The FREE Downtown Public WiFi Project, made possible by a grant from Google and supported by Q-Life Network and Gorge.net, is now up and running as anticipated and fully implementation should be reached by mid-August. Look for the signs displayed throughout town indicating this feature and watch the news for further details as it becomes available. (WiFi name appears as: TD Public Wifi)

GTA is hosting a book discussion with Prof. Dennis Shasha, Department of Computer Science at New York University, author of the book titled:
"The Changing Nature of Invention in Computer Science"
Presented by: Prof. Dennis Shasha
The talk will discuss the work of several inventors in computing and engineering, their inventions, and how they came up with them and how they plan to come up with more in the future.
The ensuing discussion will address the fundamental nature of invention in a world partly populated by intelligent machines - feature excerpts from two books by Dennis Shasha and Cathy Lazere.
