Benefit for Heart of Hospice Foundation

If you haven't signed up yet for the next Chef's Table hands-on cooking event with Chef Mark Whitehead, relax. You've got time.

On March 10th, at 4PM, Whitehead will take participants on a culinary tour of the cuisine of California. Proceeds from the event benefit the Heart of Hospice Foundation, which serves the Mid-Columbia region.

In case you're not steeped in Cali-cuisine, what's it all about? Well, it takes a bow to the cuisines around the Mediterranean, making good use of the fruits and vegetables that spring from the California soil.

To help you see how each item pairs with wine, we'll provide pairings. Cost is $65 per person. Space is limited to 25 people.

For more info/RSVP, call 541.386.1942 or visit the Heart of Hospice Foundation web site.

Main Street Program looks
to form Subcommittees

Four Important Subcommittees

Currently, members of The Dalles Main Street Program Steering Committee are seeking  to recruit volunteers to implement the Main Street Program Four Point Approach - organization, promotion, design, and business development.

Each Main Street subcommittee will focus on a different set of issues facing the downtown business district. Each subcommittee plays a vital role in the implementation and ongoing success of the Oregon Main Street Program.

With the hard work of dedicated volunteers, The Dalles Main Street Program can help support downtown business during both good and bad economic times.
