Wasco County's EDC Opening Two Positions Are Now Available
Wasco County's Economic Development Commission (EDC) is accepting applications for two open positions in the Commission.
Positions are at-large positions, open to anyone in the County.
A special emphasis for appointment of these two positions is placed on individuals representing communities currently underrepresented on the Commission, including the Mosier area and unincorporated areas in South Wasco County.
In order to apply, candidates are asked to submit an interest form by 5PM on February 25, 2011 for consideration of appointment.

GTA focuses on Electric Vehicles! Tuesday, February 22 @ 6:30PM @ Springhouse Cellar Winery, 13 Railroad Ave. in Hood River
Join the Gorge Tech Alliance (GTA) to hear about the future of electric vehicles (EV) in the Gorge.
"Future of EV in the Gorge"
presented by: Jonathan Lewis, Hire Electric
Presentation will be about the recent solar-powered EV charging station they have installed at Pacific Northwest National Lab, including a brief history of EVs and the environmental and smart grid applications of tailpipe-free driving. We also hope to have a Nissan Leaf for a demonstration from Ray Schultens Ford Nissan in The Dalles. Come learn about the Nissan and Ford EV's that are coming soon the Gorge!
