Car Prowl Updates

The Dalles City Police Department has recently recovered a large number of items believed to be taken in recent car prowls.

They are asking that anyone who has been a victim of theft from their vehicle within the past two months and did not report the incident to please contact Detective Sergeant Keff Kienlen or Detective Sean Lundry at 541.296.2613 Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4PM to file a police report.

Looking for something fun to do with your child over the holiday break at a great price? Once again, Wonderworks Children's Museum of the Gorge and Andy Nichols of Nichols Glass Studio are teaming up to offer a glass fusion class.

Join us on Tuesday, December 28th, from 2-4PM at the Nichols Glass Studio at 912 West 6th Street in The Dalles as we make beautiful works of art out of glass remnants.

This popular class is for children aged 6-12 and adult chaperons are highly encouraged to stay during the entire class. The class costs only $10 per student, including supplies for anyone who preregisters compared to the cost of $30 for non-registered students the day of the class.

Helping those in need through MCCAC
Starting December 15th, 2010


With funding cuts of about 30% or more in several energy and homeless programs, the Mid Columbia Community Action (MCCAC) asks for your help to help others in need.

MCCAC has been offered a "Matching Challenge Grant" from Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) in Salem to help those struggling in our community.

Between now and the end of January, for every dollar Mid Columbia Community Actions (MCCAC) raises locally, OHCS will contribute a matching dollar amount up to a maximum of $20,000.
