Dear ,
The kids are safely settled back in school, and the season for learning is here. We've learned a lot already this past month, thanks to your help. The survey that many of you answered in August gave us wonderful information that's helping to shape our business plan. We're also fine tuning our mission and vision statements based on what we've learned you are looking for. So, THANK YOU!
We also helped kick-off the Fall for the Book Festival put on by George Mason University last month. The event was held on September 19th in Fairfax, and we were thrilled to see so many of you there and make some new friends as well.
Now, what better way to commemorate this cool weather than by cozying up with a good book? October is National Book Month - an annual event that encourages readers of all ages to enjoy books. Check out the Usborne Book Sale below and pick up something special for your family, while helping us meet our fall fundraising goal!
Happy Reading,
Kim Hanser Chair, Board of Directors

Help your child increase his or her vocabulary and develop a love of words by creating your own family word wall. Use your refrigerator as a canvas and cover it with words your family loves to use. Use the words as often as you use the fridge! For little ones still learning to read, draw a simple picture to go along with the word to help improve word recognition. |
Right now it's just a vision - a place for our children to learn and play and develop a passion for words...But with your help we can turn our vision into reality. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Play With Words Children's Museum and help bring this important community resource to Northern Virginia!
