Play With Words is a soon-to-be children's museum in Northern Virginia. Our exhibits will offer a multitude of hands-on opportunities for children ages 0-10 to explore language, reading, and writing.
Experiential and multidisciplinary exhibits will provide countless opportunities for play, discovery, literacy skill building, and engagement for children and their adult companions.
The planned exhibits are based on a town theme including a home, post office, library, train station, gas station, and library among others. Plus, there will be dedicated spaces for art, theater, and music exploration.
Changing and travelling exhibits, plus daily events and activities such as book clubs, theater
performances, illustrator and author events, and book release parties will also be part of the Museum experience. We aim to combine learning with interactive fun for a dynamic, child-centered environment that will be an exceptional resource for DC Metro families.
