Fabulous Fashion, Fun & Food
27th Annual Fashion Show
|  Please join us for a luxurious day filled with fabulous fashion, fun and food as the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Guild presents its 27th Annual Fashion Show on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. Guests will be treated to a specialty  boutique beginning at 10 a.m. where they will have the opportunity to browse and shop the latest fashions, jewelry, and accessories inspired and created by more than thirty vendors. Immediately following the boutique, guests will gather for a delicious luncheon and the main event... A Royal Fashion Show. Produced by Carin Holmenas, the elegant show will feature designer fashion lines themed to the royal court of Buckingham Palace.  This year's fashion show benefits Laboratory Services, a service that impacts the care of every single patient at Henry Mayo. Tickets for the fashion show are $90 per person and include entry to the specialty boutique, delectable luncheon, and glamorous fashion show. The Soroptimist International of the Greater Santa Clarita Valley will present a walking and wine tasting event through Westfield Valencia Town Center on Sunday, October 16 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Town Center restaurants, wine bars, and retailers will join together and host a delicious selection of wines and appetizers with live entertainment. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefits the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center.

Doctor Makes Generous Donation to Henry Mayo NICU
|
With our deep appreciation, Miin HsiungTzeng, MD, a physician at Henry Mayo, has made a generous donation to the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which is currently under construction. Dr. Tzeng's gift will be used to purchase four Bili-Soft LED Fiberoptic Phototherapy Light Pad systems, which support and promote developmental care, enables infant-parent bonding and provides healing light for newborns.
Dr. Tzeng has been practicing in Santa Clarita since 1979. He delivered more than 4,000 babies before retiring as an obstetrician several years ago. He currently practices in the community as a gynecologist. One of his greatest joys in working out of the same community for more than 30 years is the sense of family. Having a NICU in the Santa Clarita Valley will keep newborns, who need special care, and their mothers together without the need to be transported to another facility, and that makes Dr. Tzeng very happy.
