Officially registered as a domain name on February 14th, 2005, the service has provided the world with a string of both famous and infamous user-generated content, allowing people to connect in different ways. Some of the most famous videos include a performance of
'The Evolution of Dance' and the clip entitled
Charlie bit my finger - again! , a clip which has received more than
160.1 million views to date !
Commenting on the
website's blog, Chad Hurley, co-founder and chief executive of YouTube, which is owned by Google, said that the event was a momentous occasion.
