Observation Week
Observation week will be May 19th - 24th. Bring cameras and share in your dancer's ballet experience in the studio. You will be have opportunity to photograph your dancer throughout their class. Pre-ballet through Beginner III will be presenting their Showcase costume and dance for practice - make-up is optional. Any missed classes can still be made-up during May - last day of classes is May 25th.
Lost and Found
Many items have accumulated at NBB - we want them to go back to their rightful owner! Parents - please check the dressing room and vanity for items that may belong to you dancer. All items remaining at the studio May 25th will be donated to Goodwill. |

As we continue to grow, we are renting additional space at Rivertowne Ballroom (305 Pollock in New Bern) on Fridays and Saturdays. This will provide a larger dance space for our intermediate dancers and also allow us to expand our class offerings in Modern and Jazz. Although the arrangements have not been finalized with Rivertowne Ballroom, we think the discussions are far enough along to share our plans and schedule classes at Rivertowne Ballroom. Please share you comments and questions at your earliest convenience.
Our 2012/13 School Year Schedule is now available on our website. We will start accepting registrations for the 2012/13 school year on May 7th when we start handing out Registration Packets - be on the lookout for yours! |
| Summer Camps, Classes and Intensives | |
Register for our 2012 Summer Session before May 26th and the registration fees are waived - the registration fee is $20 for those that register after May 26th
We have numerous opportunities for active dancers to progress their skills and express their creativity this coming summer. We are accepting registrations for the summer now. Our Ballet Stories and Ballet Live camps are great for dancers and non-dancers alike - be sure to take brochures from the studio and give them to your friends, family and neighbors.
We are accepting Summer Session registrations now. Use the regiatration form in the brochures we handed out the end of March or download a Registration Form from our website. Please see the Summer Session section of our website for all the details. |

NBBCo enjoyed a wonderful day performing Peter and the Wolf at the New Bern Parks and Recreation Departments Festival of Fun on April 14th. It was still a wonderful opportuntiy for our company to perform and share their art form with our community. The company enjoyed putting on a Spring Celebration of Ballet at the Scottish Rite theatre. Performing on a real stage with lights and backdrops was a special event for our dancers. The busy month concluded with a wonderful event at the Nw Bern Mall on the 28th.
The culminating performance for the 2011/12 performance season will be a community performance of Swan Lake. For several years now, our company dancers and families have asked to have a Community performance of the school's Showcase production. We are pleased to make that happen for them this year, and we look forward to sharing this performance with our the Craven County Community! |
