This month we give you an update on our snappy 'GoGet Around Town' photo competition, announce the roll out of our new 2012 Toyota Yaris models, ask you to let us know where we need more baby seats and pet friendly cars, and we even have a go at playing Cupid...
We've also added more cars and pods, and have some great specials for you on the GoGet Specials board.

We've received a bunch of entries this month for our 'GoGet Around Town' photo competition, and if the pics are anything to go by, it seems our members are a busy lot!
We've received photos from GoGetters driving around town, to GoGetters looking for adventure- what do you get up to in your GoGet car?
The competition is wide open, so to be in the running to win a year's GoFrequent membership valued at $348 and a GoPro camera valued at $280, simply get snapping the next time you're using a GoGet car!
Then go to our Facebook page and submit your photo, and vote for your favourites while you're there.
GoGet members will decide the winner by June 1st, so goget snapping!

New 2012 Model Yaris

 You may have noticed some of your favourite GoGet cars disappearing. That's because we are putting them out to pasture, to live long and happy lives as ex GoGet cars. No more running around all day, every day- just long, leisurely days as GoGet retirees.
We like to keep our fleet young and fresh, replacing our cars every 2 ½ years. So where some of our old Yarises used to be, you'll start seeing the new 2012 Yaris.
The 2012 Yaris comes with a maximum 5-star ANCAP safety rating, 7 airbags and intelligent ABS brake technology. And for an added bonus, the windows have 99% UV protection- a first for any car in Australia.

Baby (and pets!) on Board

There's the old showbiz adage - "Never work with kids or animals."
Well, here at GoGet, we laugh in the face of "received wisdom"!
So, to all those GoGetters  with kids or pets... we want to hear from you! We love our mini (and furry!) GoGetters but need to know where they're at.
Please fill in this short survey to tell us which cars/ pods need more child friendly seats, and which pods you'd like pet-friendly cars in (ie. ones that don't require a pet carriers each trip).

 This month we received a rather unusual email from a member of the public:
'Dear GoGet,
'On Saturday just gone, I had a brief conversation with a woman who is a GoGet member at Dan Murphy's Alexandria around 10.30am (she was driving a dark blue GoGet station wagon). If there's any way you can identify this woman and let her know that the woman in the queue with her at Dan Murphy's would like to say hi, I would be really grateful...was one of those moments when afterwards I went 'Bummer! Wish I'd said hello!'
'Thanks, Sally.'
Well we always knew GoGet members were an attractive lot! So now we get to play Cupid.

Tip of the month

Can't return a GoGet car to its pod for some reason? Here's what to do:
- If you can't park in the usual place, please park in the nearest legal and unmetered parking space you can find.
- Most cars have residential parking permits for the area - just check the windscreen for a permit.
- If you cannot park the car in its pod, send us a text to: 0427 777 769 with the location of where you've parked the car so we can pass the information on to the next member.
Remember, any fines incurred for parking illegally are passed on to the member responsible, so please make sure your GoGet car is parked legally at all times.

Could you change the mind of a Climate Change Skeptic?

Anna Rose, co-founder and Chair of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) and a GoGet member, recently went head-to head confronting well known climate change sceptic and former Finance Minister, Nick Minchin.
In an effort to change Nick's mind, Anna took Nick around the world meeting scientists and experts. The journey was filmed for the ABC documentary, I Can Change Your Mind on Climate Change and Anna wrote a book about the experience, entitled Madlands: A Journey to Change the Mind of a Climate Sceptic (Melbourne University Press).
Now Anna and a team of AYCC volunteers have embarked on a three month long tour of Australia on the 'Our Future: We're Worth It!" tour. Anna and the team will speak at schools, public forums, Universities and libraries speaking to communities about climate change science, impacts and solutions.
