The revolution begins...

Thanks to everyone who came down to breakfast last month to try out the fully electric Mitsubishi iMiEV.
It was a great morning and it was wonderful meeting GoGet members face to face, and seeing those faces when they experienced the quietness and smoothness of the iMiev!
Thanks to Origin Energy for the loan of the car and for the 100% green power, ChargePoint Australia for the charging station and the City of Sydney for providing the location.

If they're already a member you can buy them driving credit. If they're not a member, you can give them a voucher towards becoming one. Simple.

With all the free time you're going to have on your hands this Christmas - by buying everyone GoGet vouchers, of course - you could wile away the hours by playing " Alternator". It's a futuristic online racing game, created by GoGet member Dean Tuttle for the ABC. Its purpose is to inspire players to take an interest in clean and renewable technologies.  We think it's great. It's just like driving a GoGet car - minus the flying around corners, turbo boost and smashing into other cars on the road! Check it out. |
New online booking system coming...
| |  Many members will be sad to hear that we're updating our online booking system... or then again, maybe they won't be!
The first stage of the update will happen in the next couple of weeks. You'll notice some significant changes that will make booking a car even simpler.
If you don't want to see the old system disappear, be the first to sign a petition demanding it stays!
We'll keep you posted on the changes.

|  Car sharing (Autoverleih) in seiner modernen Form wurde in Deutschland erfunden und wir sind dem Beispiel deutscher car share Firmen und Versicherungen, dankbar. In vielen deutschen Staedten ist car sharing in das oeffentliche Transportsytem integriert, etwas von dem wir immer noch in Australien traeumen.
Als kleine Ueberraschung fuer unsere deutschsprachigen Familien, die Goget benutzen, haben, haben wir eine limitierte Nummer von Buechern ueber car sharing, die fuer Kinder Kinder in Deutschland geschrieben wurden.  New Cars and Pods
| | Thanks to our council partners, we've added new cars into new pods in the following Sydney locations:

Tip of the month
| |  There is no hourly charge during midnight and 6am. However, the normal km charge still applies.
Also, just like any other hour of the day, members still need to make a booking.
To make a booking between midnight and 6am, simply click on any hour, say 8pm, and then use the drop down menus to select the time you actually want the booking to start, for example at 3am. Simple.

| GoGet member poem | | Everyone at GoGet was over the moon after we received an 'end of year' message from GoGetters Simone and Gus.
Here's their message:
Thanks Nic and Bruce for the last seven years.
Thanks also to your helpers, you're worth your weight in beers!
We joined when there were only six cars in the fleet,
and watched you grow until we had three cars in our street.
Then late last year we moved from Surry Hills to 'the Bra'
where we thought for sure that we'd have to buy a car.
But Penelope the Yaris was already there,
so we went and picked her up outside Pacific Square.
We took her opp shopping and away for weekends,
doing the groceries and catching up with friends.
She helped us find furniture and stock up on booze,
and recycle e-waste and plants and books and shoes.
We went to weddings and birthdays carrying gifts,
picking friends up on the way because they needed lifts.
Yes we used her so much to fill up and unload,
soon Susan the Yaris turned up in Gale Road.
With two cars came more freedom and getting to know
our new neighbourhood, and other places to go.
So thanks to the whole team for the best year yet,
packed with all the things we do 'cause we're with Go Get.
