We hope you had a lovely long weekend. This month we announce the addition of more Hi Ace vans, and tell you how you can win a year's free GoGet membership.  We also announce the results of the vote over our new automatic voice prompts,  and start the hunt for an 'official' GoGet greeting!

We also share a Tip of the Month that could change your life!
GoGet Vans in Action

'Sydney Homeless Connect' took place last week at Sydney's Town Hall.

It's a yearly event that provides essential services - such as health checks, legal services and counselling -  to over 1500 homeless people each year.

Sydney Homeless Connects' aim is to bring together people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and provide them with the services they need while giving them a fun day to remember.

Our friends at BikeSydney used a GoGet van to ferry their equipment for their bike repair stand.

More vans coming

Talking about vans...van

We know you're loving our vans. Why wouldn't you? They're great for moving house or transporting equipment for work.

They're also perfect for picking up a mattress from, say, a large Swedish conglomerate; not only is there space for the mattress, there's also plenty of room for the seven scented candles, the ergonomic pillow and that footstool that you never knew you needed.

Over the next few weeks we'll be doubling the number of vans in the fleet so more of them will be easily accesible to more members.

In the next week we'll be adding vans to:

Bondi Junction - Grosvenor Street, and
Erskineville - Morrissey Road cnr Erskineville Road

Alfa MiToAnd in other fleet news... our first Alfa MiTo will be available for booking by the end of this week.

Milano the MiTo will live at Surry Hills - Holt Street.

More child friendly cars coming...
As part of our ongoing roll out of child seats, we'll be emailing members in particular suburbs to help us decide where best to place them. This will include a few child seats in the baby friendly suburb of Bondi!

To celebrate the addition of kid friendly cars in Bondi, we have teamed up with our friends at Hullubullu Baby & Kids Fashion + Shoes who have just opened a store at Bondi Beach.

Just drop into Hullubullu @ 79 Gould Street Bondi Beach, flash your GoGet card and receive 20% off.

The offer expires 16th July 2011 and excludes sale, promotional and '2 for 1' items.  Bondi Number - (02) 9300 0254, 7 days a week.

Win a year's free GoGet membership
This month, win a year's free GoGet membership, valued at $373 dollars!

All you have to do is help us get businesses on the carsharing bandwagon.

If you think you know an organisation that would benefit from using GoGet, let us know who they are and let them know we'll be calling them.

After their first trip, you'll go into the draw to win a year's free GoGet membership.

Just let them know we'll be in touch and fill out this form.
'No more votes!'
All the votes are in over the question: 'Should our new pre-recorded voice prompts stay?'

We were blown away by the conviction of our members. Some of you said 'keep it or else', others... 'get rid of it NOW!'

Some of you will be delighted, others disappointed; but we have decided to record over little Ayesha's voice and replace it with an adult's voice.

If you think you could do a better job, why not record a sample track and send it to us!

Tip of the month - Want to be in on a secret?
It's pretty annoying when you pull into a petrol station and realise you have no idea which side of the car the fuel cap is located.

You check your side mirrors but can't see a thing. You crane your neck and all you achieve is a pain in it.

You realise you have to choose between getting out of the car to check, or just wing it.

You decide to wing it, only to find that you 'winged' incorrectly. You grab the nozzle and bend the hose over the car and it just makes it to the fuel cap - as long as you have your whole weight behind it that is, as if in a tug of war.

bowserWell, it turns out there's a secret way of knowing which side of the car your fuel cap is on!

Most modern cars now have an arrow next to an icon of a
petrol pump on the dashboard. (See image.)

The arrow points to the side of the vehicle that the petrol cap is on! Genius! No more tug of war with petrol bowsers!

GoGet Greeting
GoGetter Willem-Jan from Coogee thinks it would be cool to Fisthave a "clan greeting" whenever you drive past another GoGetter.

He proposes people bang their right fist on their heart once, and then pump it in the air twice while driving past each other!

He also suggests members do this even if they're just walking past and see someone driving a GoGet car.

Do you have another suggestion for a GoGetter greeting?

If you do, let us know and we'll put it to a vote!

The winner will be immortalised by having the gesture named after them. As in 'Did you see his 'Willem-Jan'?'
If you have any feedback or questions about the service please drop us an email or give us call.

Thanks,

Nic and Bruce
