May is the month for announcements. We announce the addition to the fleet of a new premium vehicle, a GoGet Specials Board with great deals, a new automated phone menu, a global roaming deal, and of course a bunch of new pods.
We also ask for your help to get more businesses in on the carsharing act and showcase a Member of the Month who's working to save the planet!

Introducing the latest addition to GoGet's family of vehicles - as chosen by you - the Alfa MiTo!
Thanks to the GoGet members who voted on a premium vehicle a couple of months ago, we now have a new fancy car!
It's perfect for when you want to impress - whether that's a one-off special date, or if you just like looking spiffy all the time!
With Italian styling, the highest European safety rating available and a fuel efficient engine, the Alfa MiTo should put a smile on most members' faces.
It also has an optional 'Stop & Start' system that turns the engine off while the car isn't moving - for example while you're waiting at the lights - to help lower fuel consumption.
The MiTo will start appearing in the fleet over the next couple of weeks at only $2 extra an hour. We'll let you know as soon as one becomes available near you!

This month, you can book selected cars for a whole day at 25% to 30% off the usual rate!
It doesn't matter whether you're booking during the week or weekend and there is no 3 day minimum!

No more 'hoops'

Many members will be pleased to hear that we have changed our pre-recorded voice prompts and menus when you call us up.
As part of our efforts to continue improving our customer service for members, we have made the phone menu quick and easy.
Instead of the old many options to choose from - or 'hoops' as some members called them, as in "I don't want to jump through hoops to speak to you!" - there are now only two options:
Press 1 to make or extend a booking.
Press 2 to speak to someone.
That's it. No more 'hoops'.

Tip of the month - Don't park in someone else's pod

It's very annoying when you go to return your GoGet car to its pod only to find another car parked in it. It's even more annoying if the car is a fellow GoGet car!
Please remember members should never park in another GoGet pod whether it's at the end of, or during, a booking.
It inconveniences other members and because parking rangers check the permits of each GoGet car to make sure it's parked in the right spot, it could result in a hefty parking fine. |
'Eh, it's aboot time!'

 Vancouver is a fantastic city. Every year since 2007 it's been ranked as the World's Most Liveable City.
We reckon a big part of that is due to our friends Modo The Car Co-Op.
Modo was the first carsharing co-op in North America, opening its doors 14 years ago. It now has over 230 vehicles in the city. Now, any GoGet members travelling to Vancouver are entitled to free membership on their casual plan valued at $70. Member of the month

 GoGet member of the month is Stephen Dickey. He's the founder and Managing Director of Redd Forests.
It's estimated that 12% of the CO2 emitted into the atmosphere comes from deforestation. And Stephen is tackling this huge contributor to climate change.
Redd Forests is a "profit for purpose" business designed to apply commercially viable methodologies to replace activities which degrade or destroy the world's forests.
