This month we highlight a City of Sydney report on carsharing, we ask members where we should add more pet friendly vehicles and we announce the winner of our office design competition.
We have also added new locations across Sydney from Darlinghurst to Parramatta and Kirribilli to Surry Hills.

| City of Sydney - Carsharing Policy Released | |
Sydney overwhelmingly supports carsharing! A report released by the City of Sydney has shown that residents and small businesses in Sydney want more carsharing.
Late last year the City of Sydney's new carshare policy was on public exhibition. The Council received 274 submissions from members of the public. 98 per cent supported the Council's plans to triple membership of car share companies to reduce traffic congestion and on-street parking demand. The City of Sydney has set a target that 10% of households will be members of carshare by 2016, in order to meet the aims of its carsharing policy to - - Use street parking more efficiently,
- Reduce City greenhouse emissions,
- Support the city economy,
- Reduce congestion, and
- Slow growth in private vehicle ownership.

April Promo - Kings Cross & Potts Point
| |
Do you know anyone who lives in the jam packed neighbourhoods of Potts Point and Kings Cross? Are you sick of hearing them complain about how hard it is to find a car space?
Well, tell them they can join GoGet and forget about most of their parking hassles!
They can join on the GoStarter plan for FREE this month.
Even better, if they mention your name when joining, you'll each get $25 driving credit.
Forward this link to anyone you think would benefit from car sharing.

Pet Friendly cars
| |
We know many GoGetters have four legged family members who they like taking on long drives with them - and why wouldn't you? You'll never hear "Are we there yet?" coming from one of their mouths.
So, we're increasing the number of pet friendly vehicles and we'd like your help to decide where to place them.
Vote for a pet friendly car near you.
All pet friendly vehicles have the below icon in their pod descriptions in the booking engine:

*Remember that your pet can still ride with you in a non-pet friendly car as long as they're in a pet carrier.

GoGet HQ redesign competition
| |
 | |
*Member Submissions
|
A couple of months ago we announced a competition to redesign GoGet's HQ.
We were blown away by the response we received. We had 130 people register to receive the brief, over 30 came in to check out our offices and finally 14 brave members took up the challenge and submitted some fantastic submissions.
To help us decide on a winner, we had the help of Ola Bednarczuk, editor of indesignlive and those GoGet members who voted for their favourite design.
The winning design was submitted by Gilo Holtzman of Synthesis Studio in collaboration with A Bit Slow.

Besides looking great, Gilo's design is highly practical, reuses 90% of our existing furniture and falls within the tight $10,000 budget!
We'll have an interview with Gilo in next month's newsletter.
The 2 other finalists were:

Facet Studio
Paulo Chung of DesignInc
Thanks to Ola Bednarczuk and to everyone who participated in this collaborative project. We hope to see you at our office launch in a couple of months where we'll showcase each of the 14 submissions in detail. |
Tip of the month - Check for damage
| |
Remember to always walk around the car checking for damage before every trip.
It's really important all members do this. Members who don't perform this quick check are running the risk of being held liable for damage they may not have caused.
If you find any damage, check to see if it's noted in the car's log book. If it's not, give us a call at the beginning of your trip to let us know. |
GoGet Mobile
| |
Thanks to everyone who signed up to try our mobile website. We are very excited by all the feedback and will let you how the site progresses. There's still time for anyone who hasn't yet signed up to participate in this trial. |
Tweet of the month
| |
We just thought we'd share a funny tweet we saw last month:
@Vornstar: My hobby: painting goget logos on random parked cars in Surry Hills. Disclaimer: While we think it would be hilarious, we obviously don't condone anyone actually doing it. |
If you have any feedback or questions about the service please drop us an email or give us call.
Thanks,
Nic and Bruce GoGet
