 March 2011
This month we ask for your help - yet again - with an exciting new project, we announce the formation of an international car sharing organisation, and let you know how to share a great day with friends, neighbours and complete strangers, while picking up some fantastic bargains.

We have also added new locations across Sydney from Annandale to Artarmon and Randwick to Rose Bay.
GoGet Mobile

We're working on a mobile website that will make booking and extending while on the go a breeze.

As part of our goal to collaborate with our members as much as possible, we're asking for your help to make it happen.

We'd love to get your feedback - while the site is still in development - to help us finalise the design and create a mobile site that will make GoGet even easier to use.

Please note: Even though the site is in the development phase, users can still make and extend bookings using it.

Sign up to be a part of this testing phase.

March Promo - Surry Hills & Darlinghurst
Do you know anyone who you think would be an ideal candidate for car sharing? You know the type - hip, smart, socially aware, a trend setter... kind of like you maybe!

If you do know someone like that who lives in Surry Hills or Darlinghurst, then let them know they can join GoGet on the GoStarter plan for FREE this month.

Even better, if they mention your name when joining, you'll each get $25 driving credit.

Forward this link to anyone you think would benefit from car sharing.
International Carsharing Organisation Launched
CSA

GoGet a founding member

Eighteen carsharing organisations from around the world have announced the formation of an association that sets the ethical, social and environmental bar for the car sharing industry.

GoGet is a founding member and we've worked with our colleagues for over 4 years to make the association a reality. Countries represented include Canada, the United States, Australia and Brazil.

The driving principles of the new CarSharing Association (CSA) focus on environmental and social responsiblities and impacts, education, research and ethical practices.

This means GoGet has access to the combined experience and energy of car sharing organisations from around the world.

As with GoGet the goals of the CarSharing Association include reducing the number of cars on the road, relieving congestion and increasing transport options.

Thanks to our council partners, we have added new cars into new pods in the following Sydney locations:

Edgecliff - Darling Point Road
Manly - Sydney Road

Tip of the month - Check your booking email
It's important that each time a member makes a booking that they check their booking confirmation email.

This will reduce the chances of going to the wrong car by mistake!

Garage Sale Trail
Do you have any clothes you don't wear anymore? Or maybe you have, say, an old aquarium gathering dust at the bottom of a cupboard?
Garage Sale Trail
It could be time to admit to yourself that you'll never, ever, fit back into that pair of jeans last worn 10 years ago!

Well, in a few weeks time, on April 10th, you could get together with your friends and neighbours and join the hundreds of others who'll be de-cluttering their lives, saving tonnes of useful stuff from ending up as landfill, while making some pocket money - and having fun at the same time!

It's called the Garage Sale Trail.

There are 26 councils participating across the country, including the City of Sydney, Waverley, Randwick, Woollahra, Parramatta and Lane Cove.

So if you live in one of these areas, pull out all the things you no longer use and set up a garage sale (Yes, it might be time to get rid of the aquarium and lay to rest the memory of Wanda the goldfish).

Otherwise, if you don't have anything you can let go of, mark April 10th on your calendar as a great day to snap up some bargains!

Boris Bikes!
Boris Bikes
Boris and some of his bikes.

Last month, to celebrate the expansion of GoGet in Melbourne we offered free subcriptions to Melbourne Bike Share to the first 10 people who answered correctly the following question:

Question: London's bike share scheme is officially called 'Barclay's Cycle Hire'. What is the colloquial name Londoners have given the bikes?

Answer: "Boris Bikes" - after the colourful Lord Mayor of London.

Thanks to everyone who submitted a response. We'll be contacting the winners shortly.

If you have any feedback or questions about the service please drop us an email or give us call.

Thanks,

Nic and Bruce
