 December 2010
We're adding heaps of new cars to the fleet this month, just in time for Xmas!

We also introduce a new car model, announce our new much anticipated baby friendly policy, let you know how you can "buy" someone a car for Xmas, and we have some late deliveries for December that you can take for a whole month!
Introducing the i30 Hatchback
i30 HatchWe have had some fantastic feedback from members regarding our recently introduced i30 Wagons.

Now we're adding the just as cool i30 5-door Hatchback!

It's perfect for inner city driving, it's easy to park, it has the maximum ANCAP 5-star safety rating and fantastic fuel economy.

We'll be adding 40 of these this month alone. We'll let you know as they become available in pods near you.

GoGet for little kids
carseat Due to member demand, we recently announced that we would be adding child seats to some of our i30 wagons.

The child seats are on their way!

From your feedback, we found that the most painful time for carrying child seats back and forth to cars was when bub is 0 to around 4 years old.

So we're installing "Mother's Choice" convertible car seats, suitable for newborns to children weighing 18kgs.

We'll let you know as they start arriving in cars in your neighbourhood over next couple of weeks.

The seats are provided by GoGet as a courtesy. Fitting and use is your responsibility.

We're using your feedback to work out which pods to put our baby friendly cars.

Please note: If you book a baby friendly car and don't need a child seat, but need all of the car's storage capacity - say you're going away for a weekend with friends - you may take the seat out and leave it at home during your booking.

Then you'll need to place the child seat back in the car, before returning the car to its pod at the end of your booking.

You'll be able to tell if an i30 Wagon is baby friendly, by clicking on the name of the car in the booking system and seeing this icon:

GoGet members give Santa serious competition

The end of 2010 is a great time to celebrate all those GoGet members who have established new businesses. In fact to celebrate the introduction of child-seats into GoGet cars we're profiling three GoGet businesses that have gifts for children this Christmas.

Rikke Bukh (above)  runs Scandanvian Design and used to live in  Copenhagen. In fact when she lived in Cophenhagen she actually owned a car but has gone car-free in the move to Sydney. You can find  Rikke's business at www.onlythebeginning.com.au - Only the Beginning - Scandinavian Designer Wear for Kids

Also congratulations to member Aymeric Maroudas who held Sydney's first Eco Baby Expo and will be going live with an online baby products business this month at www.bonjourbaby.com.au. Aymeric moved to Australia from France and whilst he owned a car in France he has also gone car-free since living in Sydney.

Last but not least, is Vinyl Design - born from an idea by two Italian architects. In essence, take the type of vinyl stickers that GoGet applies to its cars and start applying them around your home, office, restaurant, in fact, anywhere. Pictured below are one of the designs for Xmas. Visit co-owner Julia Fantini's business online at Vinyl Designs -  www.vinyldesigns.com.au.

Tip of the month - GoGet card
Video

GoGet smartcard - Not only shouldn't you "leave home without it"... you shouldn't leave your car without it!

All of our cars have a security feature that automatically locks the doors if they have been left without being tagged off for an extended period of time.

So if you leave your card in the car, you could be locked out and will need to call us for help.

So remember, never leave your car without it!
Movember Winner
MitchThanks to everyone who submitted Movember photos.

It was a close run thing - and the judges will never be the same again - but the winner is long time GoGet member, Mitch from Lewisham!

He won by a whisker - a very impressive whisker...

We have donated $500 to the Movember Foundation on Mitch's behalf.
Transport for Suburbia - Winners!
TransportThanks to the transport boffins out there who submitted answers to our question:

Which capital city in Australia has the fastest growing  public transport patronage (as a percentage) over the last ten years?

The answer: Perth.

Click here to see a graph outlining growth rates.

Congrats to the first 5 members who emailed the correct answer. They have won a signed copy of  Transport for Suburbia: Beyond the Automobile Age.

The winners will be contacted shortly by email.

Thanks,
