 July 2010
This month sees further growth of the GoGet network, prize draws, and we unveil GoGet's first supercar!
Win a free weekend.
July is a good month to add any family, friends or colleagues to your GoGet account.

Because for every driver you add you'll automatically go into the draw to win a free weekend in a hybrid-electric Prius. That's two full days, and 300km for free!

To add an extra driver just click on My membership & Bookings.
New cars in Melbourne
We're expanding the service in Melbourne! We have added three new pods this month in the CBD and in Fitzroy North.

The new cars and pods are:

Melbourne CBD:
And we've added a brand new Honda Jazz in a new pod at Fitzroy North - Best Street corner of St Georges Road.
City of Sydney Awards
City of Sydney AwardsA member has nominated us for the City of Sydney Business Awards.

The awards, in the words of Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore, MP, "focus on building communities and acknowledging business leadership in sustainability, fair trade and social responsibility and compliment our plan for a Sustainable Sydney 2030."

Finalists are determined by votes from the public! So if you think we deserve an award, SMS goget to the awards hotline at 0447 447 070 or click here to vote online.

And every vote goes into the draw to win $1500 from the City of Sydney. Voting closes Friday 30th of July, 2010.
Another fully-electric GoGet car?
The Tesla Roadster - an all electric sports car that does 0-100km/hr in 3.7 seconds and is owned by the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney - has arrived in Australia!

GoGet was given a drive this week in the first Tesla Roadster in the country. It has a bit more... grunt... you might say... than our current electric car, Gus the Electric Prius!

And we're debating whether to add it to the GoGet fleet in the near future!

Tesla GoGet
We have made some preliminary calculations regarding the rates. On the GoFrequent plan the price would be:
  • $200 per hour,
  • $2500 per day, with 150km free of course!
And the insurance excess would be $300,000. But don't let that put you off! By paying only an extra dollar an hour, you could reduce your excess to just $250,000!

Tip of the month - Check, swipe, drive!
Remember to always walk around the car checking for damage before every trip.

It's really important all members do this. Members who don't perform this quick check are running the risk of being held liable for damage they may not have caused.
Segway Don't just say it, Post It!!!

GoGetter Alison was walking past a GoGet pod in Prospect St, Newtown and noticed a Post-It note stuck to the parking sign:

Post it note

In case you can't read it, it says "Yay for GoGet! We sold our car for this. 10 members in Hordern St alone. More parking for all."

A huge thanks to the mystery member who posted it, and thank you Alison for sending us the pic.
