March 2009
Thanks to GoGet members, Gregory and Anne, from Melbourne, who used a couple of GoGet cars to provide assistance to some of those communities directly affected by the Victorian fires.

Summer seems to be hinting that it's on its way out. And with summer coming to a close, so does our busiest time of year. Thank you to all of you who took GoGet with you on your holidays.

And to say thanks, we're giving everyone the chance to win a massive easter egg...

Easter Egg
For every extra driver you sign up this month, you'll go into the draw to win... well... not the largest easter egg on earth - right - but the largest easter egg any of us is likely to sink our teeth into... a one kilo solid whopper!

Just click here to sign up extra drivers.
Ashamed of your friends and family?
Stop fretting, you're not alone!

You'll be shocked and relieved to know that we are all either related to, friends with, or at the very least have heard of someone who insists on 'owning' their own car.

There's not much we can do about our recalcitrant friends and family. They'll come around to carsharing eventually.

In the meantime, tell them they can buy some loved and well cared for ex-carsharing cars. And because they know you, we'll give them a 5% discount. You'll have to admit knowing them though!

Get them to email us at fleet@goget.com.au

Member of the month
GoGet 'Member of the month' goes to Joan from Adelaide who noticed a parked, empty GoGet car with its headlights on. She used her smartcard to access the car and turned off the lights, thereby preventing the battery going flat and the next member being inconvenienced. She also saved the member who left the lights on from being hit with a $95 charge.

Thanks Joan. And as we already have a car called Joan, we'll let you name our next car any name you like, as long as it's the name of a real person. (Whacky celebrity baby names don't count!)
iPod winner is...
 Ipod
Congratulations to Jayne from Annandale who is the lucky winner of a brand new iPod Nano.

Jayne's name was randomly selected from those members who filled up at BP service stations last month.

Tarago North Shore gets a Tarago
Sydney's North Shore members now have convenient access to an 8-seater, dual zone air conditioned, automatic Tarago people mover.

Pauline the Tarago lives at Kirribilli - Carabella Street.

Des the Ute moves to Ultimo.
We've moved Des the Ute from Bondi Junction to Mountain Street, Ultimo. We were told by members in Bondi Junction that they preferred an extra Yaris instead of Des.

We're waiting for Waverley Council to announce the results of their carsharing tender, when we hope to be allocated extra spaces and we'll place a ute in one of them.
New Cars and Pods
In partnership with our council partners, we've added new cars into new pods in the following Sydney locations:

- Bondi South - Imperial Ave
- Kirribilli - Carabella Street
- Manly - Cohen Street
- Marrickville - Petersham Road
- Newtown South - Holmwood Street

And we've added cars to the following existing Sydney pods:

- Stanmore - Corner of Merchant & Cambridge Streets
- Bondi Junction - Grosvenor Street (Replacing Des the ute)
- Ultimo - Mountain Street

And in the following weeks we'll be adding cars into:

- Bondi Beach - Lamrock Ave
- Bondi North - Mitchell Street
- Charing Cross - Wiley Street
- Chatswood - Thomas Street Car Park
Yaris recall...

Last month, Toyota issued a worldwide recall of some Toyota Yarises due to a minor safety issue.

We've worked closely with Toyota over the last few weeks to ensure the safety of our members and cars. Less then 1 in 4 of our cars were affected. By the end of this week, every affected car will have been rectified.
GoGet Paladin goes airside
Jane Congratulations to GoGet Paladin Jane Cavanagh who has just gone from master flautist to master conductor of large aircraft moving across Australian skies.

Jane just completed her Air Traffic Control training in Melbourne and is moving back to Sydney to continue her Paladin duties at GoGet, which will now include safely guiding GoGet cars back to their pods in times of trouble.

Jane has also got her pilot's license and is officially our most qualified operator of moving vehicles. For those that don't know what a  GoGet 'Paladin' is - think of them as super-members who take on board special duties to keep your service running efficiently.

Addition to the GoGet team

And finally, a big welcome to Jeannette, a fluent German speaker (for all those German GoGetters), who's the latest addition to the GoGet Member Services team.
If you have any feedback or questions about the service please drop us an email.

Thanks,

Nic and Bruce
