Board of Directors Prepare for New Year |
The governing and policy-making responsibilities of the Chamber are vested in its Board of Directors. Recently, the Board and Chamber staff participated in a one-day planning retreat to prepare the Chamber for the upcoming year. Chairman of the Board Ryan Phillips and Chairman-Elect Charles Tyson facilitated the meeting. Board members focused their attention on finances, possible by-laws amendments, membership, annual projects and the Chamber's 2012 Program of Work.
We are very fortunate to have a dedicated group of individuals serving on the Board who are willing to commit their time and talent to direct the affairs of the Chamber.
A special note of appreciation goes to the board members who will be rotating off at the end of 2011. Thank you Billy Barber, Gene Dunlap, Frances Edmunds, Ashley Gardner, Samantha Myers and Michael Smith.
We'd like to thank the following new board members who will take their official positions in January 2012. Welcome Bo Jones, Lauren Harrell, Katie Marzolf, Nikki Simpson, Scott Tuten and Lance Wilson.
Many thanks to the entire board for ensuring your Chamber continues to be the best it can be in 2012. |

Chamber to Host FREE Email Marketing Seminar |
Make a resolution to employ some great communication strategies for the New Year by attending a FREE Seminar at the Chamber on Friday, January 13 at 8:00 a.m. Email marketing is a cost effective way to reach your customers and this seminar will give you the tips and techniques you need to know.
The Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce is very excited to be able to host this morning seminar on the Power of Email Marketing & Getting Started with Constant Contact. We know the information will give a big advantage to our small businesses and nonprofits in understanding how to utilize email marketing to achieve marketing success.
During the seminar, participants will learn the Three Keys to Email Marketing and how communicating with customers regularly can help a business or nonprofit stay
connected, generate increased referrals, encourage repeat sales or donations and build unwavering loyalty with customers, members and donors.
In Getting Started with Email Marketing, attendees will put these skills into practice and learn how to start and build a strong customer list, get their audience to open, read and act on their email and use past results to sharpen their email maketing program as they go along.
Sign up online or call Kim Walden at the Chamber at 246-4774 for more details. |
