Greetings!

      What's Growing in Your Garden?  (1 of 5)

To Sow--give birth, plant seed and scatter.

Reaping-The certainty of the consequences of good and evil doing often illustrated by the sowing and the reaping of harvest.

Galatians 6:7-Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap.

  If we plant oats, we will harvest oats. We will not harvest potatoes.

            Each seed produces after its own kind. People determine what they reap by what they sow. (Richisin)

seeds

Psalm 126:5- Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.

             Praying or seeking the Lord is sowing in righteousness, which is often attended with tears and weeping;

               the result of them is not always seen soon:

               in due time they will produce a large crop of blessings,

   a plentiful harvest, which the praying saint will reap with joy. (Gill)

      What's Growing in Your Garden?     (2 of 5)

Proverbs 11: 17--A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself.

                   The merciful man doeth good "to himself": and he does good to others with it, and thereby does good to himself also;

                     but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh; he will not provide that which is fit and convenient for his family; and will not response to

                  the wants of his nearest friends and relations, and shuts up his bowels of compassion against his own brother;

             all which may be called a troubling of his own flesh. (Gill)

promise

Proverbs 11:18--The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.

           Every sin which a wicked man commits is a deceitful work;

           it promises him that pleasure, or profit, or liberty, which it

           does not give him, and in the end is the ruin of him;

         but to him that soweth righteousness; does acts of generosity

                  and liberality; and all other good works, or works of

                  righteousness, shall be a sure reward; (Gill)

Proverbs 18:21- The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

          All men, who, by their well or ill speaking, bring death or life to themselves and others.

         The tongue is the instrument either of a great deal of good, or of a great deal of evil; and they shall enjoy the advantages

           or disadvantages arising from it. (Gill)

People arguing 2

Proverbs 22:8-Those who plant injustice will harvest disaster, and their reign of terror will come to an end.

             He that practices sin, and is frequent in the commission of it; as the sower plentifully scatters his seed; so such the reaper possess nothing

            but sin and wickedness; for, what a man sows, that shall he reap and have the reward of his works. (Gill)

Ecclesiastes 11:6--Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don't know if profit will come from one activity or another--or maybe both.

 What's Growing in Your Garden?   (4 of 5)

Hosea 10:12--I said, 'Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love.

           V.13-"But you have cultivated wickedness and harvested a thriving crop of sins.

             The Israelites not only did not do what God commanded, but they did the exact opposite.

      They cultivated wickedness. (Barnes)

fruit

2 Corinthians 9:6- Remember this-a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

                V 8- And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

             V 9- As the Scriptures say, "They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.

   What's Growing in Your Garden?     (5 of 5)

"James 3:18- And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.

Galatians 6: 9-So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up.

            As we wisely manage our resources before God under the principle of sowing and reaping, we need patience.

seeds growing and developing

            This is because the harvest does not come immediately after you sow the seeds.

              It is easy, but dangerous, to lose heart-the kind of fear and weariness a woman experiences during labor but before delivery.

               It describes a time when the work is hard and painful, but also unfinished and unrewarded.

              It's easy to lose heart when we feel like that, but that is exactly when we must hang on and not grow weary

              while doing good. (Guzik).

The question "What's Growing in Your Garden?" will be answered by the kind of seeds you are sowing!
