Greetings!
Have Faith in God!! (1 of 5)
It is typical as human beings to overly-place faith (confidence, assurance, trust and belief) in our employment, relationships,
bank accounts, own abilities and the list goes on and on.
Most of the time we forget that the good we are currently experiencing can change in the twinkling of an eye!
When we trust external or temporal resources, our faith is misdirected and because of the constant changes of those resources,
emotionally we experience highs and lows!

Have Faith in God!! (2 of 5)
We easily walk in faith when external conditions are favorable for then we are at peace, happy and worry-free.
But the moment our external resources change and situations do not appear to be favorable, our faith falls into
the dungeon of faithlessness and despair.
This is why Daddy-God is reminding us of where our faith-focus MUST REMAIN!
Not in the undeliverable promises of men or the unrealistic belief in our own abilities; but in God-Himself!
Yes, we are going to experience situations of sorrow over which we have no control and which will definitely challenge our faith!!
If we don't purpose to "Have Faith in God", we will worry about situations that we can't change and
will neglect the things that we can change.

Have Faith in God!! (3 of 5)
The Full Original Prayer of Serenity written by theologian Reinhold Niebuhr in the late 1930s to early 1940s comes to mind:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and
supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.

Have Faith in God!! (4 of 5)
We can have control over how we allow our quality of peace to be impacted during times of testing!
We have control as to whether we allow situations to overtake us or if we will rise above them!
We learn from God's Word how to consistently "Have Faith in God".
Therefore, we must seek His Wisdom and Guidance of WHAT WE SHOULD DO to maintain our faith, peace and trust when
experiencing life challenges which includes illnesses, aging, bereavements and relationship or employment changes.
Even when we "Have Faith in God", it doesn't mean that heart-breaking situations will change as we desire them.
But we learn of the assurance that internally we can be conditioned to survive what we must!
We can have the "Blessed Assurance" that "It is Well" no matter what is going on.

Have Faith in God!! (5 of 5)
In our "Having Faith in God" even if we must wipe tears away, there is a "PLACE" in God which covers us under the
wings of our great God.
So let's grow in our relationship with God through reading and embracing His Word, loving, praying, praising and serving Him.
Then no matter what we experience in life, we will "Have Faith in God"!
Remember God loves us!
Jesus is on our side!
Our faith (confidence, trust, belief and conviction) won't be
in vain when we "Have Faith in God"!

Words from the Heart!
This took me waaaaaaay back to my childhgood days at Greater Circle Mission when our pastor, Rev. K.L. Givens, would sit at the piano and bang the keys while singing this song (Lead Me, Guide Me). I had to log onto YouTube and find a version by Timothy Wright. I was waving my hand in the air as I sang along with him: Leeeeeead me! Guiiiiiiide me! Alooooooooong the way! Foooooooor if you leeeeeead meeeeee Iiiiiiiii willllll not stray! Loooooord let me walk Each daaaaaaaaay with theeeeee Lead me Oh Loooooord Leeeeeead me! Whew! I feel happy deep down in my sanctified soul! Glory to His name! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!!!!! Yes Lord!

Good Morning Dr. Lewis-I enjoyed the article about Elder Ron Simmons. I am just now learning to lean <Not To My Own Understanding>. I have also decided to do things God's Way. I admit my best thinking was not enough, so now I am learning to get better advice from people that have a closer walk with God and perhaps a longer walk with God.
