"Blessed Assurance"

Greetings!
Blessed Assurance (1of 5)
Isaac was the promised son of Abraham and Sarah. His name means "laughter". In their old age, God brought joy and fulfillment to them." Unless one can relate to Abraham and Sarah's situation, they won't embrace the "Blessed Assurance" which is communicated through these statements. Let's consider their situation. In the natural sense, they were WELL-BEYOND the age of EVEN CONSIDERING HAVING A SON! In Genesis 12, Abram was 75 years old and Sarah was 65. They had lived for so long with this important and desired element missing in their lives. One wonders how many times they had observed with aching hearts other parents who were experiencing the joy of parenthood! How many times had they hung their heads in embarrassment since culturally it was much more important in that day to have a son!

Blessed Assurance (2 of 5)
How many times did others arrogantly look on them with ridicule, some even having the nerve to
verbally remind them of the void in their lives?
How many times did they concern themselves with not having a son to leave their inheritance to carry on their family name?
Sarah wondering who would care for her in the event Abraham passed before she did.

They definitely reflected on these and other questions.
However, thank God for Genesis 15:
v 4-And, behold, the Word of the Lord came unto him, saying....for you will have a son of your own who will be your heir.
V. 5-And the Lord brought Abram forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and the Lord said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

Blessed Assurance (3 or 5)
The "Blessed Assurance" that Abraham had then and we have today is that Daddy God sees and cares about
EVERY SITUATION THAT CONCERNS US!
The Lord God is mindful of the needs and desires of our hearts, the areas of lack in our lives and every time others arrogantly
look down on us because they are experiencing fullness where we are not.

Daddy-God is mindful of every tear we shed and of the times WE ARE YET FAITHFUL IN SERVING AND LOVING HIM.
He is mindful when we stay committed to fulfilling the purpose He has placed in our life!
Daddy-God is mindful when we encourage others in their situations while we ourselves could use encouragement in our situations.

Blessed Assurance (4 of 5)
This is why Daddy-God tells us in Hebrews 11:6 NLT- And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.
Abram believed God when he was told in his senior years that he would be a father.

Consequently, when Abram was 100 years old and Sarah was 90, God finally fulfilled the promise and they had baby Isaac.
This is why those three opening statements bring such a "Blessed Assurance".
With God, laughter, joy and fulfillment are subject to come at any point in our lives whether anyone or anything else says it is impossible!
Daddy-God wants His children to experience laughter, joy and fulfillment. He loves to see us happy.

Blessed Assurance (5 of 5)
Daddy-God delights in enriching our lives.
He just requires faith and patience from us! Daddy-God wants us to allow Him to give or withhold what is best for our lives!
He doesn't want us to focus on what is "temporarily lacking" in our lives especially if He has made specific promises to us!
On the other hand, He does want us to busy ourselves with actively living to glorify Him and to spread His message of love and joy to others!

Therefore brothers and sisters, let's celebrate because of our "Blessed Assurance" from the Lord.
Daddy-God does love us, is mindful of us, and wants us to laugh and have joy and fulfillment in our lives!
So, relax, refocus and recommit to trusting and waiting on Him to show up and show out in YOUR LIFE!!!!

Something Definitely to Consider!
Sorry if we woke you in the middle of the night, but someone in your neighborhood is fighting for his life.
Sorry if we block the road and make you turn around, but there's been a bad wreck with dying children on the ground.
When you see us coming I hope you'll understand, let us have the right of way...someone needs our helping hand.
Sometimes a child is choking, sometimes a broken leg. Sometimes a heart stops beating, and when we get there it's too late.
So if you see us crying when we think we're alone, you'll know we had a bad one, and we're feeling mighty down.
We don't do it for the money; you know some of us don't get paid.
We don't do it for the glory, but for a life that might be saved.
Somewhere deep within us our souls are crying out, we're here to help our neighbors in their hour of pain and doubt.
God gave us something special to help us see you through, we do it 'cause we love you, and care about you too. Have a safe Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. |

| Words from the Heart!

Hello Ms. Lewis....I'm just now reading all of your newsletters from the past 3 weeks....I had been to busy to read them but, now I am back on track! It was nice bumping into you the other Sunday. You have such a warm heart and loving spirit...you're a VERY STRONG WOMAN Ms. Lewis!!! I wanted to let you know...I've had my ups and downs lately, but I am alright.....I know early this month I was really going through some depression. I would think about my mom....then my heart tells me to read the Bible or pray but I just didn't feel like it because I was hurting so, so much. Then one day before I went to work....I stopped what I was doing, got down on my knees and ask the Lord, please take these burdens away from me...my heart can't take it anymore...and Ms. Lewis....I started crying like a baby...and I couldn't stop...tears was running down my face so much but, when I stopped crying....I felt so MUCH BETTER.....it felt like God was right there with me saying, let it go. I remember, I think it was two Sundays ago there was a pastor that preached. He just kept saying; let it go...let it go...let it go!! I learned I had to let it go....don't hold those emotions in!Right now Ms. Lewis I want to have a personal relationship with God...I think I'm not quite there yet...I Know i have some learning to do...but it can be so overwhelming because I am HUNGRY for GOD and for the WORD of GOD...that's it's driving me crazy...I know I have to take baby steps ...that's why I get so frustrated at times because I want to know everything NOW...I've been asking the Lord to bless me with theHoly Ghost...when I'm at church it is a joyful, wonderful experience to see others being blessed in this way.....Ms. Lewis, sorry I typed so much for you to read but I was just letting you know what's been going on and what's in myheart....have a wonderful Christmas. Love, F M

As you said Really, Really, Really be truly in the Lord and then it will be seen and felt in you by others. We don't need to be seen, the Lord needs to be seen in us. Lord help me to live in your Joy and let it spread from me to others.Love you so much! LV
