This is so interesting; last Sunday we talked about Achan and how his choice impacted his entire family; although the lesson was in Judges 6, which shows how Israel returned to worshiping Baal after been given victory over their enemies, we discussed how one person's sin can affect the entire family or even the entire nation (meaning race or ethnic group).  Dr. N V

Hello Dr. Lewis:  The (Biblical) woman that I pictured you to be is none other Naomi!  Naomi is best known for her typifies the Holy Spirit's work in the interest of our lives.  In other words, Naomi's major interest is seeking the Holy Spirit to intercede for us, or on our behalf. According to the Bible, Naomi is seen as a gracious and tender woman who goes through great difficulties with a steadfast fidelity.  In your story, I love who you chose in the person of Abigail.  She was the wonderful, Godly woman, but who was married to a selfish and wicked Nabal.  He later was dealt with by the grace of God who fights our battles for us.  So what do you think?  In my opinion you fit both women because you are bent on doing the work of God and serving God's people as sincerely as you can. Now one more thing/fact.  You know how I always say to you that you always seem to know what I am going through when you send me your messages.  Yes indeed you did it again today.  Just before I read your email I was fuming.  I was out of sorts as they say.  I was upset about the young man that I trusted and gave him two boxes of coffee, each box containing 30 sachets of coffee.A week went by.  Almost two weeks went buy.  He did not call me once.  He did not return my call.  Not once.  His mother who introduced him to me seemed to disappear as well.  No call to me.  And when I called, no return call.  So this morning I threatened to report them to the police if they did not pay me my money.  I left text and voice messages.  Does this sound familiar, just like the story of David and Nabal you sent me this morning?  Oh, I was fuming, but in a calm way, not hopelessly, but fuming anyway! Do you get it now?  You, being the Abigail/Naomi sent me a message that illustrated exactly what David went through, and which I was going through.  Suffering in the hands of ungrateful  and Godless, thankless people.  Wow!  I say, wow!  Dr. Lewis I was really upset to the point that I almost cried.  Here I am trying to build a new business.  I do not have all the money in the world right now.  On top of it all I trusted a family and for two weeks they ignored me like I was a fool! Jesus Christ!  It hurt to the core of my being.  But after reading the account in your story about how Abigail intercepted David on his way to go and annihilate Banal and his men, you intercepted me in my anger.  Do you know that I was so calm later, that I even forgave them, the young man and his mother.  I told them that it was not about the money, but that I am a man who deals on honesty.  All they had to do was tell me the truth that they did not have the money.  I would have understood. Do you know what what Dr. Lewis?  They did not apologize, and I am not hurting either.  Is our God great or what?  Yes, He is great. Thank you so much for letting me share my story with you.  You woman of God, you are pulling and drawing me ever so closer, ever so nearer to God.  As I always say to you, I know what you are doing!  Well, I am not complaining.  As I told Sister Gloria Copeland in Texas yesterday in my email message to she and brother Kenneth Copeland, Keep it coming!  God bless you.
