Do You Qualify? ( 1 of 5)
Eggs, flour, sugar, butter and flavoring, may not individually be appealing to the taste;
however if the ingredients are mixed together and allowed to bake its needed time frame; a delicious cake will be the outcome!
 
Be it a 100, 500 or 1000 piece puzzle; the individual pieces alone do not give us a clue of the beautiful picture which will be
the end result once the time is taken to one by one place the pieces in their respective places!
We don't like the process of mixing and allowing the cake to fully bake; but we surely enjoy the scrumptious result of the waiting and baking.
We may initially look at the box of puzzle pieces and conclude no-way will I take the time to put it together;
yet if we see the assembled project; we enjoy and appreciate its beauty. These concepts are true in every dimension of our lives.

Do You Qualify? (2 of 5)
If we submit to God and allow Him to lead and guide us; we will find His intended purpose in taking His time to shape and mold our lives was not in vain!
Our outcome will simply be amazing!!
As we fall in love with the Lord and develop a relationship with Him; our perspective regarding our lives becomes one of anticipation and excitement;
for we learn that Daddy-God is truly up to "Something" and that "Something" is good!!
We find that we can be optimistic and continue to hold on to our faith no matter the situation we find ourselves in!
When we have truly committed our hearts, minds and souls to the Lord we rest with
Romans 8:28- NIV-And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
The NLT reflects "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good..."

Do You Qualify? ( 3 pf 5)
Scholar Barnes notates: "All things - All our afflictions and trials; all the persecutions and disasters to which we are exposed.
Though they are numerous and long-continued yet they are among the means that are appointed for our welfare."
He continues to notate: "Work together for good - They shall cooperate; they shall mutually contribute to our good.
They lead us to look to God for support... They produce a subdued spirit, a humble temper, a patient, tender, and kind disposition.
This has been the experience of all saints; and at the end of life they have been able to say it was good for them to be afflicted; Jeremiah 31:18-19.
Scholar Gill notes "It is to be observed, that it is not said that all things "have" worked together, and so they may again, or
that they "shall" work together, but all things work together for good; they "now" work together, they are always working together, whether
it can be observed or not: prosperity and adversity." But we must qualify for all things to work together for our good!

The qualifications are:
To them that love God - Scholar Barnes reflects: The Christian is made a better man by receiving afflictions as they should be received, and
by desiring that they should complete the purpose for which they are sent;
the sinner is made more hardened by resisting them, and refusing to submit to their obvious intention and design."
Another qualification as explained by Barnes is:
To them who are the called - Christians are said to be called because God has invited them to be saved, and
has sent into their heart such an influence as to make the call effective to their salvation.
Another qualification is to be submissive- According to His purpose:
Barnes explains: "It means, when applied to the mind, a plan or purpose of mind.
It implies that God had a plan, purpose, or intention, in regard to all who became Christians.
They are not saved by chance or hap-hazard. God does not convert people without design; and His designs are not new, but are eternal.
What He does, He always meant to do.
What it is right for Him to do, it was right always to intend to do.
What God always meant to do, is His purpose or plan."

Do You Qualify? (5 of 5)
So, the important question is "Do You Qualify" to live with excitement and anticipation knowing that
WHATEVER YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING IS GOING TO WORK OUT FOR YOUR GOOD?
If you qualify; then you will be patient while God's amazing plan unfolds in your life!
You will be patient while He is mixing and baking and while He is causing all of those small puzzle pieces of your everyday-life to come together!
Our Faithful God will fulfill His end and cause everything in our lives to work together for our good!

This Might Also Be YOUR Question!
Thank you so much Dr. Lewis. Let me ask you. How do you do it? How do you seem to know exactly what I am going through? I have been praying and waiting; praying, believing and waiting. I know that Almighty God will answer my prayers. In fact, come to think of it, He has already answered some of them in a different way. In other words, I have seen some glimpses of my answered prayers in bits and pieces. But the actual peace is not yet fully realized. So, Dr. Lewis, does it that He is training me to wait for His final finishing touches? But it has been a long time coming. Well, I say a long time by my own calendar. God might still be putting things together to make my dream much bigger than even I dreamed. I am waiting. But while I am waiting, what should I be doing in the mean time. Or I should say, in the lean time? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Response From Dr. Lewis!!!
My dear -- it is great hearing from you!!!! This is another reminder for us that the Holy Spirit is so very real~~~ I always ask the Lord what would He pen through me for that writing and what is expressed is what He gives--.
Yes, it has been long accordingly to your schedule--, but it just is not your due season, time of manifestation accordingly to Daddy God's schedule if it has not manifested yet. He is not finished impacting all of the areas and persons with the answer and actions He will use in answering your prayer.
So hold on and continue to focus on correctly representing God to the world while you are waiting--helping where and who you can, displaying His smile through your smile, encouraging where you can, etc.
In other words, rest that Daddy-God is God enough to monitor His end and that He is not a Teaser or will delay any time beyond the right time for you. Do not have waited this long- closer to the manifestation this year than last year or even 5 years ago and allow the devil to steal, kill or destroy your "Promised Land".
Remember He loves you~~~~

On Sunday June 12 , 2011 Councilmember Bernard C. Parks attended the final services at Maranatha Community Church located at Marlton Square. Maranatha Church is in transition due to the recent passing of its founding pastor Billy Ingram and the relocation of its facility due to the future redevelopment of Marlton Square. Pastor Steve Dyson has recently been installed as the new pastor and will guide the congregation through this religious and facility transition.
