Greetings
Spoiled Brats! ( 1 of 5)
Ah, the good life! Family, friends, food, finances, favor with God and man, homes, employment, laughter, peace, health and strength are
just some of the many blessings we have received from Daddy-God, our Faithful God!
To have the food we discard, live in the smallest room of our homes; to wear our most worn pair of shoes, etc.;
persons who have less than we do would call themselves blessed!
This is a reminder that we must surely recognize our blessings!
Because of our lavish blessings; we could act like "Spoiled Brats", accustomed to getting anything we want, and
behave in negative ways, such as jealously or coveting other people's blessings when we
don't get what we want although it may or may not be for our good.

Spoiled Brats! (2 of 5)
God has been sooooooooooooooooo good to us in providing for our needs and desires, that if we don't balance it with wisdom, knowledge and maturity, experiencing such blessings could destroy us!
This is why there are delays in us receiving God's promises for our lives.
God takes time to develop and strengthen our character so that we will mature and won't act like "Spoiled Brats"!
This is also why we are commanded in 2 Peter 3:18a-But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
God's Grace is not only used in Him drawing us to salvation; but also used in the way we grow and remain in proper relationship with Him.
This grace is the loving-kindness and favour by which God keeps, strengthens, and matures us in our Christian faith and knowledge.

Spoiled Brats! ( 3 pf 5)
This grace inspires us to display Christian virtues; ways in which we should behave according to God's Word!
We must mature in our knowledge of Jesus Christ; developing a deeper more perfect learning of Christ-like behavior, such as things lawful and unlawful for Christians and moral wisdom as related to right living.
This means knowing more about Jesus, but more importantly, knowing Jesus in a personal relationship.
By continual growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus, we are constantly reminded of how we are to think and act.
We learn as it is stated in Proverbs 10:22- The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.
There is no sorrow attached to God-given blessings; but there can be sorrow if we don't walk in maturity with the blessings as God desires for us to!

The riches enjoyed through the blessing of God are not associated with the sorrow in getting, keeping, and losing them, as the unlawful riches of non-Christians.
The Christian man acquires them easily, without any anxious care and sinful means.
This is because he is seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
The promise is that all these things shall be added to him, over and above, without much thought about them, or expectation of them, as written in Matthew 6:33.
So, why don't we live in faith and trust knowing that God's best will manifest for us?
It is with great delight, pleasure, and cheerfulness that the Christian enjoys them, and
readily communicates them to others; while the non-Christian man is full of anxiety, distress, and sorrow.

Spoiled Brats! (5 of 5)
As eagerly as we look forward to our next blessing is the degree we should seek to learn God's Word's and way, to walk in His will and to emotionally and spiritually mature in our Christian faith.
When we do this, it will discourage us from acting like "Spoiled Brats" but will teach us to appreciate God's "Many Blessings" in our lives.
It will teach us not to be jealous of one another or to covet other people's blessings!
It will teach us how to maintain the character lessons which God teaches us prior to receiving the blessings!
Growing in the knowledge of God will teach us to rejoice when Daddy-God says yes and to rejoice when He says no, to act with maturity.
When we seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, we will find that it will automatically usher into our lives unbelievable blessings and favour!
God said it and we can believe it!!!

Hey Dr. Lewis, Thank you for the now Word! And you know it really is something how people watch you! You don't even know they have their eye on you but they do, and so you really have to watch what you do and say! People will sometimes ask for advice from you about something and what are you going to say to them are you going to tell them about God? or something else? Our IT moments are a great influence on others and we really have to be careful how we use them. Love you lots!
