Each of us loves having the power to make choices in our lives and even in the lives of others!
You know the feeling of power we experience from being "In Charge" and the ones "Calling the Shots!"
This is one of the reasons we have a difficult time receiving instructions and suggestions from others; even when our lives would be enriched by adhering to their advice!
We have been empowered with The "Power of Choice" from God Almighty.
This even applies when God has revealed His divine will and purpose for our lives, which should compel us to be obedient.
Daddy-God wants us to choose to love and obey Him rather than being forced to have a robotic relationship with us.

Deuteronomy 10:12-And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13-To keep the commandments of the LORD, and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
In forewarning and extending the tools to us to make wise decisions, He has given us the authority to make choices in our lives.
Choices of whether we will maximize our potentials and skills or sit on the sideline and watch life pass us by.
In addition, we are given options to decide whether we will continue to strive for greater development in our lives, who we will marry, where we will live, and so forth.
However, with "Possessing" such power also means "Having" the RESPONSIBILITY of power to utilize it wisely.

Which is Your Choice? (3 of 5)
Deuteronomy 11:26-NLT- "Today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse!
v. 27- You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today.
v. 28- You will receive a curse if you reject the commands of the LORD your God and turn from his way by worshiping foreign gods.
Because we make daily decisions affecting our lives, this Scripture is applicable to each of us.
Blessings, success, abundance, favor, wisdom, and protection are just some of the "Types of Harvest" we can expect to receive in choosing to obey the "Will of God".

Of course the "Will of God" includes us being obedient to His Word, going where He leads, extending love and kindness to one another, taking care of one's self; spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically.
This is precisely why in addition to seeking and submitting to God so we won't be eternally lost, that we must also seek Him and His Word for wisdom in making "Right" Choices as we live in the now!
We are not to serve other "gods"; gods of self-centeredness, submitting to the commands of one's sinful nature, turning one's back on and rejecting the grace, love and mercy of God.
As most often is the case, we only focus on the "Blessings of Promises" and not the "Warnings of Promises".
Because of Jesus Christ, Christians do not have an Old Covenant relationship with God.
Because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, we have been delivered from the curse we deserved of eternal damnation.

However, it is quite clear in v.28 of Deuteronomy 11, You will receive a curse if you reject the commands of the LORD and in
Colossians 3:6- Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience that one can expect to experience consequences for making and acting out wrong choices.
Therefore, Family, let's decide to make wise choices with the help of the Lord God!
Let's confess and repent of our past actions in making unwise choices.
Let's seek God for His wisdom through reading His Word and becoming "Doers" of good deeds.
Let's love others as God loves them!
Let's purpose to be "Responsible" "Power-People!"
Then we will surround ourselves with God's continuous blessings.

Jesus Is Acquainted With Our Grief

As I watched Dr. Lewis' Sunday message on Youtube, I was struck by what she said regarding our need to move on, even when confronting grief. She spoke about the bereaved family's desire for the world to stop and stand still during their moment of grief; it caused me to reflect on the loss of close family members and the ensuing pain.
Friends when we grieve, we often go through a cycle that may begin with shock and disbelief and conclude with blaming God. It is difficult to see the love of Jesus in such dark times, but the book of Isaiah 53:3 tells us that Jesus was acquainted with grief. Jesus is a merciful and faithful high priest (Heb 2:17) and therefore able to console us in times of sadness.
We go through at least seven stages of grief, beginning with shock and denial and culminating in acceptance and hope; some people, however, get stuck in the middle stages of anger and bargaining and are unable to heal; if you are one of those people, don't hesitate to seek help from a pastor or a counselor. People who remain in an extended period of grief reaction are prone to clinical depression and other mental health problems.

Hi Dr. Lewis the YouTube video message really ministered to me; when you talked about the bereaved family feeling like the world stops, yet others continue to move on is so true. I remember when we were burying my grandmother; I looked out of the limo and saw people carrying on their lives, while it felt as if our lives were at a standstill. But God's faithfulness reminded me that the work he sent me to do must go on. Dr. N V

Brothers Keep the Faith

Brothers keep on praying no matter what you do, you're the head of the household and accountable to you know who.
The family is depending on the choices you make, your children, your wife, Aunt Sue and Uncle Drake.
Keep the faith in the hard and good times to remember to give Him glory and honor for keeping you.
Take a stand as a man from morning, noon and night, let the devil know he is in for a fight.
Don't give him an inch or two, cause he will take a mile if you allow him to.
Do unto others like the Word of God said, don't repay evil, just pray for them instead.
Only God can fix what has gone wrong, let the Holy Ghost move you just keep singing your song.
Keep the faith as you have learned all the days of your life, find peace with all men and not strife.
As you keep the faith and continue to believe, you shall see in the end what you have achieved.
Brothers keep the faith no matter what comes, lift your head up high and reach towards the sky.
