We like to play guessing games "ESPECIALLY" when there are amazing prizes awarded to the winners!
In some cases, games are set up to ensure that contestants lose because the hosting entity desires only to benefit from the investments received from contestants and not for the contestant to win the prizes.
Then there are other occasions which games are structured to ensure those who would dare to enter "WILL IN FACT WIN"!
Such may be the case with the following guessing game, "Who AM I"!

Who Am I? (2 of 5)
"Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth", Genesis 1:26.
Who looked upon the children of Israel, and had respect (was concerned) unto [them]? Exodus 2:25.

For... hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind, 2 Timothy 1:7.
For... is not unfair. He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other Christians, as you still do, Hebrews 6:10 NLT.
But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]: for he that cometh to ...must believe that He is, and [that] He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, Hebrews 11:6.

Our Loving and Great God has so structured the "Game of Life" to be one that "We Can Win"!
He wants us to partake of all of the gifts He has offered for supplying the correct answers!
His only request is that we don't forfeit our win by not abiding by "HIS RULES".
Another notation is that we won't have to wait until we pass into eternity to experience these wonderful gifts; but can do so even now in this present life;
no matter WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS OR SAYS!!

The ABC's of Cognition

Dr. Nola Veazie is the founder and CEO, of
V-Solutions Consulting. She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II), and Continuing Education provider; she has many years of experience as a mental health clinician and trainer.
The book of Proverbs is filled with wisdom. Proverbs 3:13 says "happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; for her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold." Knowledge gives us the information to make decisions but wisdom helps us to make the correct choice. Sometimes it is difficult to make good decisions, often because of our cognitive processes and not because we don't have the right information.
What are cognitive processes? These are ways of thinking and evaluating our surroundings; psychologist suggest that our schemas (organized pattern of thought, our framework, ideas or mental images) can cause depression (Garratt & Ingram, 2007), anxiety or other stress-related mental health problems. These patterns of thinking color the way we view people or events. For example an Activating event happens: Someone sat in the seat you normally sit in at church. Your Belief system is: Sister Sue should have known that I always sit in chair number 10; leads to the following Consequences: You roll your eyes at Sister Sue and give her the cold shoulder.
Is the Activating event responsible for the Consequence? Or, is your Belief system responsible? God's word gives us advice to guard against negative cognitive processes. Romans 12:2 says "and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." The Word of God is a source of cognitive renewal and transformation; it guards us against the arrows and darts hurled by the enemy to promote negative outcomes or consequences in our life. Words from the Heart!
Good morning and praise the Lord Dr. Lewis. (sister" Bird" here) Thank you so much to God be the glory for what he has and what he's going to do. Thank you for reminding me of God's constant hand and protection. I know and believe he will do just that. Yesterday in prayer God let me know that he sees my frustrations and he will deliver. It's beautiful when you know something and when you have read it as well, but when the Lord speaks directly to your spirit it just an explosion of joy in my soul. Even through my tears I get joy when I think about what the Lord had done for me. Thank you so much for the encouragement. Sis B S

Hope all is well with you and yours today! Wow! What a Beautiful baby, I like him a lot!!! Don't you just love them when they are that size!! you want to bite their jaws! Ha-ha. Thank you so very much for the Wonderful Word for the day! I really need this one! Lord help me and all of us to remember you are in the boat with us while the storm is going on!!! I really want to have that Rest of Faith in my life so I can stand while in the storm knowing that Jesus is in it with me and He is not going to leave!!!!! What a Word! Praise the Lord Dr. Lewis, the newsletter is just beautiful. Thank you again for publishing my poem. Your new grandson is just as cute as he can be. I also want to thank you for The rest of faith. When I saw my name at the top, I said Lord even though Dr., Lewis doesn't know me and I don't know her, the spirit of God is ever present. God knows what we need and who to use to encourage us. I am so happy and thankful for the Holy Ghost. I am going through some trying trials, but I am holding on to God's unchanging hand. I give God praise for using you to remind me.
