"Don't Live in the Past!" (1 of 5)
"Ahhh, the Good Old Days", is a commonly used expression when reflecting and contrasting the past with one's present stage of life!
In the midst of our life experiences, there have been both sweet and bitter occasions, which we define together as the "Good Old Days"!
In our "Days of Old", we have been blessed with family, friends, laughter and fun times!
If we are not mindful when trials and tribulations come our way, we will wish for the "Good Old Days", even if
the "Good Old Days were also filled with pain and suffering. It is truly amazing how much our lives change at each junction of life!

"Don't Live in the Past!" (2 of 5)
The memories of yesterday remind us of our homes filled with laughter, the footsteps of children running and playing, the need to referee between our children's battles,
errands here and there, preparation of meals, school meetings, family vacations, employment and business successes, and the like.
All of these constitute the memories of the "Good Old Days".
No matter how pleasant and enjoyable our days might have been, they all pass and fade into the history of time.
Relationships change, people move away or even die and children grow up.
Our places of employment relocate or no longer need our services.
Our physical body may begin to feel quite differently with its aches and pains with the passage of time.
How one currently evaluates situations sometimes changes from evaluations of previous days.
These situations and others that occur are why we must not live in the past.

We have to C. H.A.N.G.E meaning we must "Choose Healthier and Navigate Greater Experiences" for this era of time rather than choosing to live in memories of the past.
We must live in the present and realize that it may require more effort from us than before, and the opportunities and possibilities of today may be greater than those of yesterday.
In the future, today's experiences and opportunities will become our "Old Days"!
How we choose to live our lives today whether in a healthy emotional state or a manner of self-pity will produce our experiences of today and the memories of tomorrow.
We must value the opportunities of today, accept the changes in our lives and healthily live in the "NOW"!
We must evaluate what needs to be done at this stage of life. Then we just can't be an "Evaluator of it", but become a "Doer of It".

We must not retreat from life, and wind up in a corner to die and become unfruitful or unproductive while we yet have opportunity!
We must prayerfully consider wholesome and healthy choices for this current era in our lives and then navigate (Find a way and plot the course) of how to arrive at those healthy choices appropriate for the current stage of life. This may include learning a new skill of interest and benefit.
It might be stepping out and exploring a new hobby that was never investigated or researched prior to now.
It might be committing to volunteer in some type of interest area or a "Helps Ministry" (Aiding the elderly, becoming a foster parent, caring for the sick) and the like. It might be ONCE AGAIN COMMITTING TO ONE'S PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OR a WORK-OUT ROUTINE to develop a healthier you! If you are still alive on this side of Glory, there are still definitely life and opportunities in the "HERE and NOW"!

However, we must take hold of and exercise becoming "Doers" and not just thinkers, mopers, and self-pitied people!
By embracing C. H.A.N.G.E.- "Choose Healthier and Navigate Greater Experiences" for our lives, we won't live in the past or even die in the present!
We will however, establish another set of "Good Old Days" even from these present, ever-changing, hard to accept days of our lives.
We must also remember that God is with us to help us to make the changes and adjustments as needed!

Someone has written these beautiful words. One must read and try to understand the deep meanings in them. They are like the Ten Commandments to follow in life all the time.
1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble; it is a "steering wheel" that directs us in the right path throughout life.
