Don't Refuse to Change! (1 of 5)
Ever counted how many warnings you receive each day? The answer is probably no!
This is because by nature we don't like to hear behavior modification challenges, and therefore have to decide how we will respond to the challenge.
We seem to think that we can "hear" warnings but don't have to really listen and heed them and by so doing their ramifications will disappear.
We are frequently warned to take time to maintain healthy physical conditions, to be mindful of our food intake, to stop arriving at work late, overspending, changing sinful and deadly habits, to name a few areas.
But whether we verbally respond or not to the admonitions given us for our good; the lack of our responding communicates our refusal to change.
Yes, we must be mindful of who is encouraging us and the wisdom of making certain changes, however each of us are wooed by the Spirit of God to make certain necessary changes in our lives!

Don't Refuse to Change! (2 of 5)
EVERY INDIVIDUAL has changes they need and must make in their lives!
We were reminded of this in a recent Bible study lesson as stated in the Church of God in Christ Teacher's Sunday School book (pg.64) that
"The Babylonians had taken full control of Judah, the southern kingdom of the Israelites. The temple was destroyed, its vessels were confiscated, and many people were deported to Babylon.
God through the prophets had warned and foretold that this would happen if the Israelites did not repent of their sin and refusal to change. Instead the Hebrew people had dismissed the prophets of their God who predicted the fall of Israel and Judah and they refus
ed to listen.
But now the prophecies had come to pass-all of the devastation that Isaiah had prophesied had come to pass concluding with the exile in Babylon."
Our challenges to change might or might not be due to sinful actions; but there still needs to be change of some kind in our lives!

Don't Refuse to Change! ( 3 OF 5)
He really does want the very best for us! Thus, He sends warning after warning for us to change so that we might avoid the definite consequences of not changing.
Perhaps Daddy-God is challenging you to make attitude changes on how you view yourself or others since how one's attitude is will be reflected in their actions. Are you challenged to arise earlier and spend some quality time with the Lord to receive "His Recommended" game plan for the SUCCESS of "YOUR DAY"?
Being challenged to make a career or location change?
Perhaps your challenge is to curb your spending habits before you are bankrupted and to accept the reality that you cannot keep up with the "Joneses"!
Is His love encouraging you to eliminate any self-centered thoughts and your "OWN Wisdom" and to think of Him more and more and embrace His wisdom?
Is it to accept and deal with the present changes in your life, whether you are responsible or not for them, like or don't like them and to adjust your life as needed to healthily survive?

Don't Refuse to Change! (4 OF 5)
We cannot be deceived because "Forewarned Consequences" of not making adjustments has not materialized in our lives, for only God's grace and mercy have prevented them from manifestation.
But just as it was for the Israelites who eventually experienced captivity by choosing to dismiss their warning, so will we.
Hebrews 3:8 warns us: Don't harden your hearts against Him as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested God's patience in the wilderness.
God uses people and their experiences, His Word, statistics and the like to be our personal prophets to speak a life-changing word directly into our lives.

Don't Refuse to Change! (5 of 5)
What's so great is that Daddy-God's Word to us is specified for our abilities and make-ups.
He is mindful of the time and resources we will need to bring about the changes!
The greatest blessing is that He is willing to partner with us in making necessary changes.
Making changes is not easy, comfortable or initially embraced!
However, if we will make the changes confirmed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit; it will transform and enrich our lives.
Making such changes will unfold a new quality of life to and for us and will truly amaze us!
So do yourself a favor and commit to making the necessary changes in YOUR LIFE!!!!

Hey Dr. Lewis, Thank you so much for the Words of Wisdom and encouragement. I really like the part that says it should not be a pitty party but a Growth Party!!!  This is so very true and we all have to be very careful not to fall into self pity when we are going through! The Lord told us we are going to go through, so what is the problem? Greetings to you Dr. Lewis, I pray this email reaches you in good health. I also hope your New Years has been wonderfully Blessed so far. I want you all at One Faith Ministries to know how this newsletter entitled Tomorrow's Manifestation has richly Blessed me. I was having a really bad week at work and someone who has been very close to me for over two years has decided to end our friendship. This newsletter opened my heart and eyes to see I had placed to much faith and trust in things and people and not enough in God. I was losing focus and God is showing me He still and always will be in control of everything. So Thank You!!!
