     Don't Answer the Door!

Dangerous Gas Station Fires

Early Show Consumer Correspondent Susan Koeppen reports on how to protect yourself from what some experts say is a rising problem when pumping gas!

 Playing the Piano

 Greetings!

                              Don't Answer the Door!               (1 of 5)

Micah 2:1-3-v.1-How terrible it will be for you who lie awake at night, thinking up evil plans. You rise at dawn and hurry to carry out any of the wicked schemes you have power to accomplish.

v. 2- When you want a certain piece of land, you find a way to seize it. When you want someone's house, you take it by fraud and violence. No one's family or inheritance is safe with you around!

3- But this is what the LORD says: "I will reward your evil with evil; you won't be able to escape! After I am through with you, none of you will ever again walk proudly in the streets."

The warning from Micah can apply to both Christians and non-Christians; for both groups must be mindful of what consumes their thoughts.

It is more horrible for the Christian who allows his or her mind to scheme anything that is out of the will of God.

What we plot, plan and lock our thoughts on will fuel our actions.

This is why we must monitor our thoughts and be careful of what we think on and submit to in our thoughts!

Don't Answer the Door! (2 of 5)

door man knocking

It is not a sin when thoughts knock at the door of our minds, for all of us have knocks of unwise and unproductive thoughts trying to gain entry!

The sin occurs when we answer the door, invite the ideas into our minds and hearts and offer a seat to any type of thinking!

Thoughts of jealousy, hatred, adultery, stealing, being deceitful and not being truthful in our words or actions must not be allowed in to take root in our minds.

If we are to be blessed and to be a blessing; we must answer the "Thought-Knocks" of kindness and love to one another, choose peace and trust rather than worry, forgiveness, not selfishness or be self-centered.

Philippians 4:8---Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever

things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely,

whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

2 Chronicles 20:17- Ye shall not [need] to fight in this [battle]: set yourselves (Take your positions), stand ye [still], and see the salvation of the LORD with you (and watch the LORD's victory-He is with you);

O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD [will be] with you.

bowing head

V. 18- And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with [his] face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshiping the LORD.

Our responsibility is to stay in fellowship, bowing and worshiping to our Lord God!

Yes, difficult challenges will confront us; the threat of someone taking our homes, of being sued, of divorce, not getting that promotion; however the same godly encouragement given to

King Jehoshaphat is to be applied against anything or anyone in our lives who is plotting to deal with us in an ungodly fashion.

 free liberated

This frees our minds and thoughts to praise and bless the name of the Lord!  Whether it is people we are concerned about or our "things",

it frees to us think and say: Thank you Lord that You truly watch over "us and ours"!

Thank you for your e-mails.  I love them all.  "They are talking about y-o-u sounds so interesting after scrolling through it, that I am going to finish it tomorrow.  Don't want to rush through something this interesting.  Love you!  Be blessed, in the name of Jesus. Minister O B

Good morning Dr. Lewis: How are you?   I was determined to read the one you sent me -- They Are Talking about You and Me.  Yes they are.  I was really blessed by this message because I have noticed that I am getting a great deal of positive reactions from my colleagues at work.  I am hearing from their supervisors and my own supervisor on how most of them are surprised that I am so nice, friendly and positive all the time, even though I am very new in the company and have not really had my first sale yet.  I am flattered. But what they do not understand is that I have finally (since three years ago) to rejoice in the Lord as the Apostle Paul commanded us to do.  So whether I have worldly success or not yet, I will be glad and rejoice always.  God is not done with me yet.  it is through my obedience, tribulations, trials, pain and suffering that Almighty God will bless me.  He will do these things that He knows that I need at His own time.  So my job is really easy.  All I have to do is wait on the Lord, and He shall bring all to pass.  Glory be to God.  Thank you for letting me share.  Your message really sparked a lot in me.But it does not mean that everyone likes or loves me.  No, No, No. And that is fine with me too.  When I read Psalms 23, 25, 27, 30, 91, 118, and 150, I am up lifted and go about my daily business, because when my enemies come against me to eat up flesh, (my enemies and foes) they will stumble and fall.  Glory be to God.  Have a blessed day!  Much love!!!  Minister C K

Dear Doctor:

In the past, I was sometimes unfaithful to my wife. She has forgiven me. For the past two years, I have been trying to be a good husband. She and I get along great until she talks to her girl friends. Most of them are not Christians. They tell her she is a fool to trust me. Recently, my wife has called a psychic who told her that I'm having an affair with a woman. This woman is only a close friend. Because of what her friends and the psychic are telling her, my wife is suspicious and constantly accuses me of cheating on her. What can I do? Sincerely,A Faithful Husband

Dear Faithful Husband;
Your past adultery severely damaged your marriage. Your wife's decision to forgive you is crucial to the healing of your marriage. However, (Click below to see Dr. Love's complete response!

Don't Answer the Door!

                               (3 of 5)

Our Scripture thought in Micah reminds us that where there is a will, we will find the way to accomplish "it", whatever is in our thoughts!

Equally these verses remind us that although it is in our ability and power to think and act evilly, that we MUST NOT DO SO! We must practice speaking to ourselves; not because we are mentally unstable; but to refrain from committing mentally unstable actions.

 man talking to himself

We must be just as swift in rising at "dawn" to contemplate thoughts and implement actions that are wholesome and productive as others are quick to rise to do mischief!

Christians have the assurance that God will bless them to keep or get that which is good for them. Christians don't have to evilly plot and plan how they will "get over", "take from", "advance in" or overcome anything or anybody!

praise God Thank you Jesus

Thank You Lord, Bless You Lord, Praise You Lord! WE NEVER HAVE TO STOOP TO THE UNGODLY WAYS OF THE WORLD to be blessed, to hold on to what is "ours" or to gain what we desire.

The Lord God already told us to "Be not afraid nor dismayed...for the battle [is] not yours, but God's."

The Lord also says in our Scripture text-Micah 2:3-"I will reward your evil with evil; you won't be able to escape!

Matthew 20 4:- Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you.

Galatians 6:7- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

We have the blessed assurance that the Lord sees, hears and will respond accordingly to thoughts and actions against us as well as our own thoughts!

We will either receive God's blessing and protection in the affairs of our lives by thinking godly thoughts or receive His judgments for our evil thoughts and actions!

Let's make sure that we think thoughts, and take steps that will reap God's continued blessings in our lives!! Bless you in Jesus' name!

Who Is One Faith Fellowship?

Dr. Elaine Walton

Are you feeling "stuck" in any area of your life?  Have you noticed a difference in the relationships with those you love and care about?  Is your past negatively impacting your life?  While I do not have all the answers for you, I do want to be there as you explore changes that will benefit you emotionally, personally and spiritually.

Here is your chance to ask
Dr. Elaine Walton
questions that are important to you!!!

Dear Dr. E.,
Is a man more likely to abuse his wife/girlfriend if his father was an abuser?  W.B.

Dear W.B.,
Thank you for asking such an important question! Research supports that those who experience or witness abuse are more likely to be abusers. Part of developing a healthy relationship is knowing your partner's history of violence. Dr. E.

Dear Dr. E.,
How do you know if your relationship can be saved?  A.S.

Dear A.S.,
The response to this question may be as varied as individual situations. However, one basic factor is whether or not both partners desire to save the relationship. Once this has been established, there must be a commitment to identify problem areas and work towards resolution. Dr. E.
